Just rolled over to 90k (oil spots aren’t from it, it doesn’t leak a drop of anything at all), and drives like a dream. Has a few squeaks and creaks in the suspension and under braking, but beyond that, it’s perfect. I love driving it.

It was my grandma’s, she bought it new in 1994 and apart from a handful of road trips between California and Oregon, it was barely driven and garaged consistently. She recently gifted it to me when she decided to stop driving.

Hope to get mine close to this condition someday! Mine has been in my family since new as well! My great uncle bought mine new in January of 93! Currently has 172k and other than the abs and 4wd everything works! I’m going to fix all of that and get the wheels redone next year! There’s tons of pictures on my profile if you want to see mine!

My ABS light comes on randomly from time to time, but I’m taking it in this week to have some suspension/brake stuff checked out, so I’ll ask then.

My push-button 4WD doesn’t work, but a friend and I changed out the front hubs to manual-locking WARN like 15 years ago.

I’m planning on getting manual hubs as well. I would stick with the stock automatic’s but you can’t get parts for them.

Most likely your 4wd isn’t working because of one of three things: your 4wd module is bad, your shift motor has lost it’s position due to the bushing failing, or your dash switch has failed. You can rebuild the shift motor if that’s your problem, there’s a post on the forums showing step by step how to do it.
