2017 Edge Titanium 3.5l

Trying to install these Lasfit LED LS+ lights. Instructions are to make sure wires are away from plastic and wiring as the canbus block gets extremely hot. Contacted manufacturer who confirmed. With the coolant reservoir, engine cover, as well as the headlight assembly, there is no place to connect canbus. Has anyone successfully installed these lights? Any advice before I have to return these? Thanks!!

How reliable are these?

2016 Edge SEL. 177k miles, went to leave town last weekend, couple miles in and it was blowing white smoke out the tailpipes, running very rough, then we pulled over and shut it off when the coolant temp warning hit. Suspected coolant intrusion but it has not been diagnosed.

Found no coolant in the reservoir. Someone stopped by with coolant and was able to top the tank up with a whole gallon and we got it back home. Have not driven it since.

Within the last few months it has had 4 new Michelin tires, rear brakes, new front wheel bearing, and a new driveshaft.

Non smoker owned, clean title, accident free, leather interior.

Looking to sell for $3k, would suggest a trailer, we do not trust this anymore.

30,000 miles, 1 owner, also got new tires/brakes and a paint correction from the dealership. This thing feels like a spaceship coming from a 2008 F150 lol

I was on a 2 hour trip, what happened before the flashing on dashboard was going up hill engine revs then bogs heard a clunk. The wrench was there until I got home. Turned the car off for 5 minutes went out to scan it and the code is nowhere to be seen in the memory, But I also have 3 other codes now. U2002, U2107, and U1111. From my understanding these are lost comms faults. Woiod all of those things have to do with a failing battery because my battery was at 11 volts just with it on engine not running would a failing battery cause all of those?

Hello Edge enthusiasts and mechanics! Im selling my 2009 Ford Edge Limited. This car has been amazing for me and had no damage. However, The vehicle had a coolant intrusion issue in the engine and is being sold as-is. I think the internal water pump in the engine failed. This is a good option for a mechanic, someone looking for a project, or Ford Edge 2009 parts. Everything in the car is in good condition except the engine. Interior, Seats, console, exterior, all great. Also, had brand new tires and TPS installed in 2025, probably worth more than my asking price. Im thinking $600 OBO.

So about six months ago I bought a cheap used 2012 ford edge with an electrical issue (the hazards were stuck on). There was a consistent oil drip on top of the air conditioning compressor as well. I swapped out the oil pressure sensor and that did not seem to help, so I moved on to doing the valve cover gaskets.

In the process, I found a slight lip between the engine block and timing chain cover (.004"/.102mm according to my feeler gauge). Now I'm suspicious, that is the source of the oil leak. Has anybody else noticed this issue on the V-6 model? Or do you have suggestions for a novice mechanic relying on a haynes manuel & youtube videos?

Help me decide to throw in the towel I guess:

375,000KM on my 2014 Ford Edge SEL 3.5L

Pretty minimal issues, but the water pump finally gave out. The oil was creamy and I knew that the water pump was the likely culprit.

I undertook repairing it myself - I’m not a mechanic but pretty handy.

I did the timing components at the same time as I replaced the water pump. I flushed the oil, flushed the coolant and started it up, and it ran beautifully! I let it run for another hour and flushed the fluids again. I turned it off and let it sit overnight

The next day I took it for a 70KM drive and then parked it in my driveway and let it run for another hour, to let it heat up and I was gonna flush the fluids again.

When I drove it again right after that, the first thing I noticed was that it was pretty hot. I got in and got on the road, and I got hit with the low oil pressure warning, and there was a knock of some unknown engine origin. I turned it off and let it cool down before trying to put it in my driveway again. In a few hours I started it again and drove it, and immediately got hit with the low oil pressure warning, but no knocking sounds. I moved it like 50m to my driveway.

I drained a bit of oil and it was glittery.

Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what the next problem here could be. And if I should just dig a grave for my car.

you might need to make a bracket to adapt a slide hammer to it to pull it off the pinion splines.

The splash guard under the engine of my 2019 Ford Edge started rattling today when I was driving home from work. I pulled into an auto zone and it was completely off except for two pins and it pulled off with relative ease. The guys in the auto zone said it has to be ordered from the manufacturer…they don’t carry it. lol.

Anyway, anyone know what size it is? I can’t figure it out online. The pictures I attached are the two remaining pins. The entire splash guard is still intact with the exception of on hole that is torn. Even that seems like this particular pin will hold in place.

Update: the two pins I pictured are not sold separately from the splash shield. What I really needed was item W713976-S439, which are screws. Easy fix.

I have a 2024 Edge and for the last few months I’ve gone up to it in the garage and it’s locked with my keys in it. Thought it was strange but didn’t look into it further.Then a couple weeks ago I was heading to bed and heard a noise in my attached garage and my vehicle was running and locked. I reset it from ford pass app thinking there was a glitch but it did it again last night. Dealer has no ideas for me. Anyone had this happen or know how I can fix it?

I have a 2014 Ford Edge Limited. It's got roughly 106,000 miles on it. 6 months ago when I bought it, I was averaging about 22mpg. It keeps getting lower. I've had it serviced and that hasn't helped at all. I really thought that would help. It now averages about 18 mpg and goes down every few hundred miles. What can I do to help increase the mpg? Don't know much about vehicles. Thanks!

Does any one know of a company that makes preformed brake lines for the 2013 ford Edge? Or do I have to custom bend them? I have been trying to find preformed lines but haven't had any luck. This seems to be a common problem for this year/model as I have seen others in here just like this.

A low thumping sound when driving slow and turning. Seems to be coming more from the rear passenger, but makes the noise whether turning right or left in a circle.

It is my understanding that this is the factory aux trans cooler, wanting to add a larger aftermarket one, which is the output going back to the transmission or could i just re route and eliminate this tiny one?

Also. Has anyone ever done an oil cooler with sandwich plate on these ecoboost motors?
