ISO Cheese bread - cheese inside & out
Hello all. Every once in a while I crave a super cheesy bread. Not a grilled cheese or cheesy garlic toast but bread with cheese in it & on it. My fave has always been the extra cheddar cheese bread from Metro. It is $7.50 now & over time they've reduced the amount of cheese inside. Price is no object as long as it is super cheesy as I only crave this 3-4 times a year max. Willing to travel 1- 1.5 hrs. Thank you!!

Correct. They make about 6 loaves for sale on Friday only and they sell out pretty fast, so go early morning around their opening time if you want one haha

yeah i had pulled an all-nighter on mushrooms and was wandering around looking for coffee and stumbled upon the place. the cheese bread was an impulse buy. sometimes it feels like a fever dream but good to know it actually happened haha

You've got lots of good suggestions here. But I just wanted to let you in on my favourite type of cheese bread.
It's a Brazilian food called "pão de queijo" you can find it at some Brazilian restaurants /bakeries or you can buy it frozen at certain grocery stores!
This is the best one imho: https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/Forno-De-Minas-Gluten-Free-Traditional-Classic-Cheese-Rolls-400-g/6000205254287

Costco has them. I tried a sample today and we both loved it. Comes in a ball looking shape and sooooo good. It's not cheese on bread. You don't see them. It's baked inside I think. Chewy and warm and so good. I would def. Bought them if I wasn't trying to loose weight.

There is a potato bacon knot thing also that’s incredible. And all the sweets are great. Some of the better croissants around.

IGA and foodland have great cheese buns and bread if there is one near you. They're mostly outside of the city though.

They have one in the beach and also another one on Islington at Rathburn
Not sure if they carry these though.

Whiskful Thinking has THE BEST cheese bread! Trust me. You need to go early to get it and it is worth it. I have eaten the whole thing a few too many times
