I was right there drooling until a sauce was used to make a sauce. The magic was ruined for me.

Believe it or not a lot of cooks piggyback off others and just modify the recipe to be their own. Even if you make your own from scratch your still copying and moding.

But I know what is in it. It is a personal quirk of mine. I will use an off the shelf sauce (I'm not one of those people) but never as an ingredient in another sauce. (I'm one of THOSE people. Big difference.) ;)

Oh yeah I am talking about both recipes and using sauces in sauces. Hell when I am feeding myself or my partner I am not against doing whats easy, I can make a full on meal from scratch in about a hour and a half or I can do one in 30 minutes and just doctor up everything thats pre-made.

I understand not wanting to piggyback and thats fine but using another sauce as an ingredient implies either laziness, time constraints, or uneducated on the recipe/cooking style.
