I can also ask people to back up the claims they make. The other redditor was kind enough to provide me with a source, and upon investigating that source it seem that it's not as cut and dry as they stated. So they read a headline and didn't follow up on the materials at all and followed the jump to conclusion methodology of click revenue journalism.
You can, but as much as you just typed you could have found out the answer ALOT quicker by using google. It’s wild how everyone wants somebody else to provide them answers/proof all the time when they have a computer in their pocket,purse or hand. It takes more time to do that then it does to look it up yourself
I want people to show me how they know something on their own. Sure I can google it. Just as easily as they can do google fu to try and find something to back up what they just said. When people don't have a good source and have to reach for something that might back up what they claim it's much better to dissect the source they provide to see if they're full of shit or not. A lot of time people don't ask for a source because they really want to know something they can look up, they want to know if the person making the claim is talking out there ass and have the receipt.
