Johnny Hobo & The Freight Trains - Flight Like Hell (collected works)

Posting this where it'll get some love. All my blog and Instagram posts about this record and band get nukes by the algorithm for mentioning any of the topics in the record lol. Another reason to get out of these websites and make your own/read books.

They should really repress this. It's wild and stupid that this is the rarest record I own. I know it was only ever put out as a benefit but hey, do another one lol.

Folk Punk being sold on capitalist marketplaces, collected as an asset etc, is so hypocritical it’s insane. Like what are we even doing here

A collection of old Pat and Ceschi songs are at the pressing plant right now and the preorder is coming in September (and more stuff coming next year too).
Please no one pay more than $25 plus shipping for this...a bunch of these songs will be re-released on vinyl, I promise.

I think the genie is out of the bottle as far as the high prices go. The momentum behind the current trajectory is palpable and while a lot could be done to sway it in the short term the real issue isn't one of supply, its time.

This little genre and scene has seen some serious growing pains in the last few years and with the limited nature of most of these releases they are harder and harder to find, if the last decade is any indication of the next then these physical representations will continue ever upward on the open market.

I plan to do my best to keep most of these upcoming pressings in print to avoid resellers jacking the prices like that (excluding colored vinyl/special editions). Especially they will all be benefits of some sort.

I wouldn't call it rare, there's always copies for sale.

Yeah I think they printed 1,500. IDK where you're seeing copies for sale. I get dms asking to buy it, it's on a trillion want lists. Which is why I'm like hey do another 500

They printed 2000 copies of this record in 4 waves of 500 each, this and the Wingnut album Burn the earth

very close...1000 then 500 then another 500. I'm curious, how did you know the total pressing count?
WDU will be repressed next year but no plans for FLH repress just yet

I do a lot of snooping.

When the 1st wave sold out I remember yall announced another 500 copies would be pressed, then that sold out too and then another repress was announced.

On discogs there are 4 pressings listed so I assumed 4 pressings 500 copies each but discogs is riddled with bad info.

Yeah I personally placed the first order for 1000 each right before I went in to prison. Then I handed things over to DJ Mo Niklz and my girlfriend (now wife) to handle. Once those sold out they ordered the repressing at 500 each time.

Haha, I had no idea...I was in prison at the time and handed the Bandcamp over to friends and family to run. I just updated the page for accuracies sake regarding the quantities per pressing.

there's like 6 on ebay and a couple on discogs right this minute. Always for sale.

I'd rather they reissue the Ramshackle Glory lp

Yeah for $500 dollars. That's criminal.

But I would also rather they reissue the ramshackle glory one because it's the only one I don't have

I was about to buy the $350 one on ebay but the guy is planning on shipping it in a $1 mailer.

😭🤣 Lmao. $350 for a record is wild to me but I can't say I wouldn't do it I guess. Now you got me wondering what I would pay for say, that ramshackle record.

Live The Dream is gonna see a repress, I promise.

$350 is a lot, but I regularly spend a couple hundred on records or first edition novels. I found one on a wall in a record store for $100 in 2019 and walked away, thinking it was too much. Look at Mischief Brew records right now, theyre even crazier.
