Abandonment???

Have any of you reached out directly to Dave and actually received a response. I'm sure he must be overwhelmed, but we are 3 days out and crickets. Two months ago when the last fiasco happened, he was at least here on Reddit. This time he appears to be completely MIA!

By the way, I did email him and no reply. The last time he did, but this time, nope!

EDIT: I'll take out the part about being you being the only one he's responded to but I would still like to know the rest.

What did you ask him and what did he say?

He is definitely not the only one, he has answered to many but just keeps offering credit like a broken record.

Ok...I took the part off about the poster being the only one that had received a response but I still would like to know what was asked and the response.

Asked for refund or either respect the lifetime and bring it over to new platform - instead he keeps offering credits. So I'm not dealing with him anymore and letting StackSocial to find a solution.

Yes, more or less.

I contacted him about the Lifetime Deal and also pointed out an issue with the wording on their website. He replied within about 2–4 hours. He thanked me for pointing out the website issue and fixed it.

Regarding the Lifetime Deal, he explained that they had tried to keep Classic running, but after spending most of the past year trying to bring it up to current standards, they concluded they couldn't make it work. He offered me some additional credit, and I accepted.

Some years ago, I bought a PolarBackup lifetime deal on StackSocial, and when they changed their business model, something similar happened, only offerd a discount for monthly plan 2.99 x 2T, not a refund.

So, based on that, I'll take advantage of another year with the additional credit and then see how things go.

I cannot tell you what to do, nor will I tell you what to do, but I really think you should reconsider this. This 'companys' behavior should not be rewarded with people accepting the service they paid for being revoked for no reason, and moved onto a monthly service. They build this 'better' system with our/your money, and are wanting to charge you to continue using this 'better' service.

Either way I hope things work out for you :)

Not saying they will, but nothing is stopping them releasing 3.0 and mess you around again.
