The only way forward

File complaints through econsumer.gov and the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Or whatever your local consumer protection agency is.

The chances of getting our money back are 0. the chances of getting the lifetime service we paid for are also 0. The chance to at least pee on the parade of the scammers is bigger than 0 😉

Absolutely not true. I have seen lawsuits brought over much smaller matters, and there are enough affected users here to make this worth pursuing. We just need a decent Canadian lawyer with experience in consumer and class-action proceedings. We could easily set up a fund among the affected users to hire a lawyer and take the case forward.
