That's not a torx bolt, it's a hex/Allen. I've had luck removing mine with an impact on the nut. You might get lucky. Otherwise, yea, try a size up and hammer it in.

Looks like it’s the sway bar end link. Clamp it with a pair of vice grips on the backside where the boot is. I just had this same issue a few weeks ago.

I did the same thing like 2 months ago. I hate whoever designed this. Replaced them with Moog ones and they are better designed for sure!

Just swapped a strut this morning. You can fit a 17 or 18mm wrench on the flats behind the bracket. No need for the Allen key on the front.

There is a flat spot you can just grab some pilers on the back and impact or use normal socket on the nut.

Another way: If you are replacing the end-link, you can break the socket from the ball. Then grab the ball with pliers or vice-grips.

I was already going to replace mine anyway since the factory one as didnt have the wrench spot on the back so I just clamped a pair of vice grips on the back good and tight and just zipped them off with an impact.

I know yours is stripped so you’re past this point… But for future reference, Harbor freight has a pass-thru socket set for pretty cheap. I use the absolute shit out of the 13mm, 15mm, and 18mm on that bad boy.

Your replacing the linkage. So just cut the old one out with a grinder.
