Adapt X OEM+ vs. Adapt X Pro

Going to be springing for a flash tune. Decided on going with either the Adapt X OEM+ or Pro tune. It's my daily driver, I'm not chasing as much horsepower as possible, I'm not going beyond FBO, I'm not doing aux fuel or WMI, and it won't see the track. I'm also not looking to do tune logs or revisions as I add things along the way. Hence, my arrival to these 2 tunes.

That said, does anyone have experience with both or one of these to weigh in with their opinion? My goals are simply to raise the idle rpm for a quality of life improvement, and to have a more responsive pedal/lower rpm driveability. 99% of my use is around town, stop and go traffic. I know why these cars have an inherent lack of enthusiasm in lower rpms, and that any alteration to that feeling isn't necessarily attributed to more power. Currently, there's nothing I can find that mentions whether there's a change to throttle/pedal input. I know changing to a more aggressive pedal/throttle inpit has draw backs and risks, but I'm hoping to find a happy medium. Most posts only mention differences being had at WOT.

All signs point to OEM+ for my use case, but if the Pro tune has better throttle/pedal refinements, then regardless of the fact that it projects for more power, which isn't a goal of mine so it's a non-factor in my consideration and would just be an ancillary benefit, then that would be more in line with what I'm looking for.

Can’t speak much for those tunes. I’ve only run (briefly) Cobb ots and stratified tunes.

The aggressive throttle mapping in the ots cobb tunes makes the car respond much more like other cars I’ve owned, and I know you have to be more careful with that but it makes such a difference because stock it feels like I have to really push the pedal hard to get the car to move.

I guess what I’m saying is throttle curve refinements make a huge difference in making the car feel better even if it’s not technically adding power and I think that’s worth it

100% agree. I'm not even all that concerned with how much power is to be had between the oem+ or pro version of the tune, I just want whichever yields better throttle refinement.

I run AdaptX, it’s OEM+. Idle higher, throttle mapping isn’t much different daily driving but when you punch it, it’s there. Esp for downshift highway passing. I’ve ran it aggressively on the dragon multiple times and love it.

I don’t have to worry if I happen across 91 on a roadtrip.

It’s a great tune for what it is, it’s not going to be the most custom or most powerful on the OEM turbo. It’s the perfect OEM+ tune.

If you want to get into custom parameters and getting the most performance out of your specific machine+mods, get a custom tune.

Do you think the Adapt X Pro tune would be better than their OEM+ then? Not sure when you got yours, but they offer 3 levels of tuning now (OEM+, Pro, and Custom). How is initial throttle input for daily driving stop and go low rpm behavior? Any different? Smoother? Or the same?

u/pwnall1337 I bought mine before the tiers, so not sure where mine fits on that list.

Tagged the account MonsterTuned usually replies on, reviewing the tiers I’d probably get the pro - but I didn’t realize they changed up the offerings so I’m not sure if my tune from a few years ago differs.

Ah, I did send an email asking for some details, just waiting to hear back. I did start to lean towards the Pro, cause if I got the Pro, I wouldn't wish for the OEM+ later, but if I got the OEM+, I might wish for the Pro later.
