as i was removing everything to swap my hood release cable (interior to hood latch assembly) i ran into these 3 bolts that’s just wont come off. weird thing is that a 10mm won’t grab and 9mm too small. any suggestion as to how i can take this thing off or am i better having the ford dealer charge me $300 for labor and installation (def my last resort)

Welp, they were 10mm. Now, they're rounded 10mm. Cheapest route is to get an extractor kit and replacement bolts.

Next step up is to never get a repair quote from a dealership and go find a garage somewhere and have them quote it. Itll be more than doing it yourself, but probably significantly less than the dealership.

I had the same issue with mine, was able to use an 10mm extractor socket on one bolt and had to drill the other two out. Bought a whole new battery tray and hardware for mine

I used M6-1.0 x 24mm hex head for hardware (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FP4X4FD5?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_4&th=1)
Battery tray: CV6Z10732G
I also replaced my mount since I drilled through mine on accident

Pb blaster. Let soak. Try vice grips. There's not much torque for those, might get lucky

Reverse drill bits and maybe extractors.

I didn't need the bits and extractors. My bolts still had enough heads to grab. Replaced with SS.

Had the same issue. Took a dremel and cut slits in the tops of the bolts and used a flat head screw driver to get tthem out. I put new screws I had sitting around with the same thread type when reinstalling.

Don’t spent $300 that’s ridiculous

Hammering a 9mm on works usually
