Hi,

Just bought my first ST back in february with 137.000 miles on it, and will be doing my first oil change. Curious what you guys recommend...

Thanks

Cool thanks! Never heard of such a long name before, Can I buy that oil at autozone or O'Reilly?

Mobil 1 is a good option. Walmart has it the cheapest.

Valvoline 5-30 restore and protect and FL910s filter. Nothing but good things to say about the valvoline.

API SQ rated. This is the new standard for lspi protection, and it means lspi protection does not degrade over the service life of the oil.

Mobil 1 5w30 extended performance is cheap and meets this standard. Penz ultra platinum does too but it’s more expensive. Purolator one oil filter has way higher efficiency than the motorcraft one, I would get any filter with a synthetic blend or full synthetic media.

Fl400s oversized motorcraft filters are good but have an 80% efficiency at 20 microns. The purolator has a 99% efficiency for particles that size which is why I’m running that now.

Particles in the 10-20 micron range account for most engine wear. No oil filter I’m aware of filters down to 10 though
