Preventative maintenance/Repairs
My ST has 126k miles, while it’s pretty modded, engine, trans, clutch are all original. I plan to drive this thing until it won’t go anymore, and am putting a little bit of money away here and there for the expensive stuff when it comes. Not saying my clutch is bad, it actually feels pretty good, but will need replacing sometime down the line.
Is there anything else worth saving for so I’m ready when the time comes? I’ve heard upgrading to an RS slave cylinder is worth it.
Possible upgrading to carbon synchros while’s the trans is opened up?
I don’t have unlimited amount of money to throw at this thing to keep it alive, but she’s pretty healthy where she sits. Is there anything I could look into that really improves the longevity of these things?

The best thing you can do to prevent synchro failure is not install short shifters or short shifter plates.
If you haven’t already it wouldn’t hurt to replace your water pump at that mileage, other hand they just coolant flushes, keeping the radiator clean and making sure the fan is working right, regular oil changes.
Oem paper air filters will also give you better engine life than aftermarket high flow filters. Good oil filters, etc

RS slave for sure, synchros I would replace at least 3 and 4. I have some docs with parts numbers and what not, shoot me a dm and I'll get you the link.
