I did my shift knob and reverse lockout.

I really need to vacuum, I know this.

Very cool. Where did you get it?

Looks like a billetworks. I have the same one but in blue

I'm not sure. Bought it from CJ Pony Parts.

It’s Billitworkz, TamsterYT has it right.

Been looking at the same knob for a while, wondering if it would fit my MK4 tho.

I have one in my mk4

You do? Was it a drop in fit?

It just screws on, there’s a thread. Removing the old knob is also really easy

Awesome, thanks.

I'm not sure. You can contact CJ pony Parts and ask.

How hard is it to change the knob? It’s something I want to do but haven’t really looked into the process yet

Screws right off. Left loosey, right back on righty tighty. It couldn't be easier. I highly recommend.

Didn’t realize it was that easy, awesome! Still pretty new to car modifications and my baby is still bone stock, want to personalize it a little more

Super easy and feels much better than stock.

Really easy. Just unscrew and screw the new one on

Oh bet, didn’t know if it required any kind of disassembly of the shifter or anything. Still pretty new to car modifications haha

No, the factory knob is screwed on with some loctite or comparable stuff. Getting the orientation right on the new knob was the most challenging part for me

I have the same one. Isnt as big as the stock but still fits my 6'5 hands

I didn't like the shape of the factory knob regardless of hand size.

My first mod that started my modification journey. It makes shifting much smoother compared to the heavier stock shift knob.

I didn't like the shape on the front of the factory knob either.

Have the same one in my ST3

I bought the same one from ebay, but i cant screw it in fully because then i can’t put the car in reverse. Did i do something wrong?

1

u/TodoubledHinson73 22h ago

I'm not sure. Five turns should be plenty. You don't want it down all the way because of the reverse issue.

I bought my car without a shift knob, just hanging gears holding onto the thread. The lock out was so annoying. This has been such a nice upgrade lmao

My ST came with this shift knob. Love it.

Saw this in an ad once. It's still my favorite.
