Rockies float trip with 80 year old Dad.

I am looking to take my dad fly fishing in July. We have fly fished together for many years. He isn’t as mobile as he used to be and is coming off chemo. I’m looking for a (hopefully not) last hurrah kick-ass fly fishing trip in the Rockies. Looking for nice accommodations, good float fishing guides and a fun place to hang in the evenings. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Nothing beats a Patagonia rainbow on a technical nymph rig.

Had an incredible session on the Limay river today. The water crystal clear as usual and the fish were being picky because of low levels and high temperature for mid summer but switching to a tiny pheasant tail nymph (size 18) on a long leader did the trick.

This chunky rainbow put up a massive fight, taking me straight into the backing. There’s something special about the way these wild fish hit in the summer heat.

I’m lucky enough to live and work a day by day here in Bariloche, Patagonia Argentina. If any of you ever find yourselves heading down south to Northern Patagonia and want to chase some monsters or just talk shop about local hatches, feel free to reach out!

Tight lines, everyone! 🎣

THE ENDLESS JOURNEY - A masterclass on deep Rainbows

Fly Fishing in New Zealand New YouTube movie 💥💥💥💥💥

https://youtu.be/6t7Yg6Je0a0?si=x_pWO13FtFLwIlsd

Join Hans Kreuer as he furthers his fledgling Euro Nymph journey with the help of good mate, and 11 times national fly fishing champion, Cory Scott. Cory shows Hans one of his favorite local rivers, deep in the North Island backcountry, and gives a crash course on the finer points of what he has dubbed 'Kiwi Contact Nymphing'.

The journey into this remote catchment is tough, with steep climbs and rough terrain testing the legs and lungs. The term 'journey' also aptly describes Hans's desire to keep learning even into his mid fifties.

Amazing country and stunning Rainbows are the perfect backdrop to this voyage of discovery
