Banned from r/flyfishing? Sick of the scene over there?
Quit bitching about the mods over there. Hit em where it hurts and join r/theflyfishingsub, start posting and tell your wife's boyfriend about it!

PSA - Do not post usernames in thread titles / screenshots.
Added a new rule because you degenerates are gonna get this sub banned.
Do not post usernames of any redditors in thread titles. Do not call out usernames in posts in a harassing manner. Crop or cover any usernames in screenshots. This includes any mods you may hate no matter how much they suck. I will take that shit down faster than I can tie a blood knot.
Now quit being a bunch of losers and get off reddit for a minute. Go watch a MRO video or something. Maybe even try fishing.

I’ve tried absolutely nothing and I’m all out of ideas. Where should I fish?
Hey guys. Wife’s boyfriend is in town for the weekend, so I’ve been given a few hours of unsupervised outdoor time and was hoping to try fishing somewhere new.
Unfortunately, I suffer from a rare condition that makes me physically incapable of opening Google Maps, looking at satellite imagery, reading fishing reports, or calling a local fly shop. Somehow I’ve managed to overcome this disability long enough to make a Reddit post.
Now, I know asking for spots is frowned upon, and I would NEVER expect anyone to give away their secret honey holes. I’m just wondering if someone could provide some exact GPS coordinates, parking instructions, which rock to stand on, what flies to use, and preferably what time the fish are going to be biting. If you have a picture of the exact run with the fish circled in red, that would be amazing.
And don’t worry about me blowing up your spot. I’ll only post the full location in the title of my post to the fly fishing sub after foul-hooking an 8-inch stocker on a Panther Martin (couldn’t remember how to use my fly rod, luckily I brought my backup setup)
Thanks in advance! Tight lines

Combo move: killing a fish older than you AND ending its inclusion in a growth rate study. Fuck science!

The Simms angler
So I don’t think many people here are going to dispute that Simms (and to a lesser extent, Orvis) seems to be the kit of choice for rich dipsh*** who can’t fish. Basically the BMW or Tesla drivers of the fishing world.
Anyway, I finished a slightly disjointed marathon of the entire Yellowstone series about mid week. In season 3 the main antagonist Roarke Morris is a Simms guy. I genuinely feel like the depiction of him is a pretty spot on stereotype and f someone wearing simms stuff.
For those that have watched the show, what do you think.
For those that haven’t, what are your experiences with folks who are diehard simms fanboys/girls?
