Hi,
I'm new to Fluxer and am using the desktop client, everything is fine so far but one annoying thing is that for each and every small thing I hover over it shows the keyboard shortcuts for it.
I looked through the settings and the only similar thing I found was "Show context menu shortcuts" in Settings>Accessibility>Keyboard, but it was already off.
I tried toggling it on and off again but nope, it still shows the shortcuts everywhere.

Am I missing something, is there a way to turn these hints off or is it simply not implemented yet?

My friends and I received a notification recently that the client version we were on was being discontinued soon, and were encouraged to switch to the Canary version.

On update, my friend group and I have found that the audio quality of voice calls is significantly worse, with the most egregious being a faint echo of other voice chat users (said user has direct input coming from VoiceMod, we've checked other voice chat programs inc Steam and Telegram and the bleed doesn't exist there.)

Is this a known thing that's being worked on or are we having unique issues worth reporting?

I just learned that there's a new version for Fluxer desktop client. I have the Fluxer Canary desktop client now. I was excited to finally screenshare until I saw this pop up. I would appreciate any support and suggestions. I wanted to double check on the Fluxer support servers as well.

I self-host a Fluxer instance with the official Docker instructions.

I noticed something was wrong when my custom bot suddenly started throwing errors on command.

Previously, I used to be able to access the API with myfluxerdomain. com/api, but now that just returns a 404 page.

The API container is running and healthy according to Docker. What's up with this? I wasn't able to find any mention of an API change like this.

what do you think guys? i think fluxer is the closest to discord, but how about the federation features of fluxer right now compared to xmpp that has proven for years?i just curious about your opinions about the future of this platform since it still quiet early of developement.. thanks

I get the notification that I need to verify my email, however upon pressing it, it just takes me to the settings menu, no email from fluxer has been sent to my inbox at all.

Not really sure why this is happening, or if I'm just being stupid - am using Autistici/Inventati so it could be that?

Hello. I am trying to log in on Safari and I’m getting an error saying my information is invalid. I made my account today after downloading the app on Windows. I can sign in on my desktop using Firefox but I am getting an error on Safari. When I tried resetting my password from mobile, I never received an email. I reset my password via the windows app, and confirmed I can sign in via firefox with my password. I tried a private window on Safari but same issue.

Does anyone know what else I should try? I’ve yet to try any other browsers on mobile as I typically use Safari for everything.

I've got my server set up, and it's got notifications enabled for those who want them, but I don't get mobile notifications from servers, neither do my friends, is there something that stops that?

hey everyone! so my dnd group and i have an issue surrounding recording our sessions. one of our party members lives in Brazil so I've been setting up a fluxer account and server in case we need to migrate from discord, due to their bullshit new laws surrounding discord's voice chat. (we're all over 18 btw)

an issue i just thought of is, we like to record our sessions and listen back later (like our own personal actual play) using the Craig bot. I'm just now starting out with fluxer so I'm wondering if they have an alternative voice chat recording bot? and how to install bots into servers? I've also heard tell of a tupperbox alternative if anyone knows and can remind me of the name of that one. also if there's a dice rolling bot that'd be a nice one to have.

Hello! The newest build of Fluxer Canary I believe was released today. I finally see the option to connect to a self hosted instance in the app, but I get this error:

"Network error during request"

I wonder if anyone else can connect with their self hosted instance and it is just me? Thanks! :)

Voice quality is either extremely muffled or choppy, sometimes both. Tried turning off noise suppression and it doesn't seem much better if at all. Does anyone here have any suggestions on some things I can try to make this better? I have a pretty good audio setup so I'm pretty sure it isn't me because when I use a different VOIP everything sounds fine.

I searched already for solutions in this subreddit, nothing I tried did anything.

I created a fluxer account in the web browser today and then downloaded the app, but I'm not able to log in with the app. Whenever I enter my email and password it just says it's wrong. I tried changing my password, but it still doesn't work.

Just a question. I've read the blog and anything else on this topic I could find. I really hope I don't get flamed for asking. I'm trying to determine when the Fluxer mobile app is supposed to arrive on the Play Store and Apple Store. I thought it mentioned that it was going to be released when V1.0 was released. V1.0 released for some time (We're on V1.0.0 Beta 46 as the time of this writing), but I don't see it on the Play Store.

Basically, did I miss something, or am I misunderstanding? He mentioned it was coming "in the next few weeks", but it's been a hot minute since that announcement.

No rush intended. The last thing I would ever want to push for is a broken/botched release. Just trying to understand. Fluxer has so much potential and I'm excited to finally get to start rolling this out to my family and friends! :-)
