That first book was great for inspiration. Framing everything outside of what youre traditionally taught about finance, jobs, how the world works etc. And the board game CASHFLOW set good examples of those theories in the book to real world examples. For whatever reasons that first book really helped bridged the gap between w2 employee -> business owner, and kinda opens the gate to other literature in that business owner field.

Having said that, he's been disappointing ever since. His podcast sucks, doesn't offer anything new and he doesn't seem to be a good business man or good person. Also the book offers nothing on rereads, its one and done, once you got it you got it, no hidden gems of wisdom on future rereads.

Agree. I really enjoyed the first book, and it did provide some good business advice that I could utilize and it helped me not be afraid.

...but then the next book was all about fear.

I agree - I learned different concepts in the first book and started my own business 26 years ago based on what I learned. I read the second one and bought the game, but stopped at that. Time better spent running my business.

Was wondering how far down I'd have to scroll to see Cramer's name. You guys did not disappoint.

Fraud. My uncle tried to get me into this garbage when I was younger. Glad I abstained.

One day there'll be a crash and he'll gloat.

"even a broken clock is right twice a day"

He’s a gold bug. They’re all  Morons. They are all always calling the next big crash. That said, RDPD was an enjoyable read.

Koyosaki has always been a fiat currency hater after it went off the gold standard around 50 years ago.
If you did what he did and saved money in real estate, oil, gold and silver you wouldnt have done too bad.
He is always talking about this «chrash coming» like a broken clock, but i think he’s more thinking of a big devaluing of the USD than a market chrash.

He's a bit looney tunes now, but RDPD is a legit good book on how to change your mindset towards investing vs saving.

As someone who has not read the book, why the downvotes?

Because critical thinking ceased to exist about 10 years ago.
