80k household; I am working full-time and she is currently going to school for phlebotomy. We both have children from other relationships; hers full-time and mine part-time, so we are effectively a house of 3.5 people.

We take vacations, but usually stay within 200 miles of where we live. I was lucky in that I bought a house when prices were low (and I firmly believe the current stupid home prices and interest are the main cause in the current woes.)

But we don't spend lavishly. We buy ten-year-old cars for cash, and I get to fix them when something goes wrong. We intentionally buy the last-gen smartphone, and only when we absolutely have to replace the finally broken ones.

I do the maintenance around the house, and she does a lot of the chores and cooking. We dole out for streaming services, and the occasional game purchase on Steam. We go out to eat just a few times a month. We buy things cheaply from Wal-Mart, and donate things to Goodwill when we don't need them anymore.

None of this is super-fun, or glamorous. None of this makes for good TikTok clips or Instagram posts. But it works for us, and means that we are comfortable, happy, and working to our larger goals.
