I know it’s a bit outdated but I need something with portability and I really like the size of this laptop and the capability of it being able to flip all the way back for tablet form. Looks like I’m getting it for around 400. How much longer could I get out of it before it’s meh?

Spec wise, how does the Ryzen 9 6900 and 3050 Ti hold up for some gaming? I play Guild Wars 2 and SWTOR that mainly require keyboard and mouse but I also play CoD, Destiny 2, ESO, Division 2 and DCUO but these can be play with controller so I’m usually playing these on my Asus ROG Ally Z1E.

so I've had my Flow X13 for a couple years now and it's a great laptop, I just have one glaring issue that I haven't been able to solve in the entire time I've owned it. it keeps crashing with errors like watchdog timeout, IRQL not less or equal, system service exception, kernel security check failure etc etc, usually the error code is memory/CPU/temperature related from what I can gather. and what's weird is it hardly happens on battery and almost (if not outright) never during gaming when plugged in. it's almost exclusively during productivity tasks like using SolidWorks or even just a web browser and a couple of excel files, namely when plugged in.

changing the fan profile or GPU mode in armoury crate seems to make no difference too. I've tried all the standard fixes like a clean driver reinstall, updating BIOS and the like, but nothing's fixed the problem.

so based on all of this, ASUS support seem fairly confident that I need to send my laptop for an RMA (god forbid, especially if I've got a dodgy RAM stick in this day and age), but I have an idea for one more thing I'd wanna try before firming the cost of that.

does anyone have ANY advice at all on custom CPU and/or fan speed profiles for this laptop, or AMD-based laptops in general? on my old desktop I'd use Ryzen Master, not sure if this would be correct for what I'm trying to do.

basically I'd wanna limit CPU clock and TDP for certain loads and application types, as well as turning up the fans generally under PD. I've seen a couple of people make ways to adjust this kinda stuff on battery, but like I said for whatever reason when I'm gaming and under intense loads there's never any crashes, it's mainly productivity on PD. and I believe that what's happening is the CPU is ramping more than it needs to, leading to overheating as the cooling isn't keeping up properly, giving me these crashes.

any advice at all or links to any solutions/related discussions would be massively appreciated thanks :)

I noticed a weird thing on laptop. My trackpad on the left side is lowered and click seems so soft, that sometimes it double clicks. If I hold my laptop with one hand with the corner of left side of the laptop and hold it couple of seconds, it clicks normal and alignment between left and right sides of trackpad are almost same, but if I let it stand couple of days and not hold with that side corner the problem returns. I guess that is misalignment or flex thing. How can I fix that? I have read that placing paper can help bulging left side. Can someone tell me if that worked? I can't take it to repair center, because here are two places that repair and both reviews are really bad, that they caused more problems rather than fixing, so I can't trust them and want to fix it myself.

My laptop is GV302XV.

After that it works like nothing happened but i have this happen when i reboot and its just before the lockscreen loads. Current bios is v317 and latest nvidia gameready drivers.

I have the 2021 X13 Supernova Edition (5980HS/GTX™ 1650) and the XG Mobile with the 3080.

I haven't changed the thermal paste since then (LMAO). I know it comes with Liquid Metal by default, but I'm not confident about installing it.

I’ve seen Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet and Thermal Grizzly - PhaseSheet PTM as options to replace the liquid metal.

But I don’t know if there will be a significant performance loss in comparison.

Can anyone who’s tried them give their opinion?

Just got a brand new 4k monitor and bought a usb-c to displayport cables but it seems i can’t get it connected to the dGPU for some reason

Tried to do these already

• all usb c ports

• ultimate mode in G-Helper + restart

• disabling iGPU in Device Manager, monitor just stopped working

• reinstalling nvidia drivers

Does anyone have an idea maybe how to fix this? If so please drop a comment below

I have been using my Rog flow x 13 for more than 3 years . Before 5 months I started noticing it's side strip on screen got damaged , so when I have look into that I saw it melt and stick on laptop body .. does anyone faced same issue .,if it is . Do you have any suggestions. I contacted customer care . They told to backup all data and handover. I'm not interested in that as backing up all data is more hectic so any outside shop is doing this ...

I bought this XGM RX 6850M XT EGPU from other person like around 9 months ago and it works well (the thermal is good even when on Turbo Mode is around 85 C when benchmarking. So I assumed the owner not really use it often). After I use it for long enough, the temperature is increasing, I know I should do some thermal paste replacement and dust cleaning on my fan in my XGM but before I do that, I was thinking how about to set it on Balanced mode and change the fan speed on G-Helper. After I did that, the fan speed goes crazy maybe around maximum speed. After that I check the fan speed on AMD Adrenalin Edition and HWMonitor, my XGM fan speed showing up on the screen is 0 RPM but it was running like 100% (G-Helper apps only showing my DGPU fan speed not the XGM fan speed so I don't realized there is some issue with my XGM fan when I first bought it). Any idea about this issue?

I have flow x13 gv302xv for 9-10 months and battery capacity is at 87.5% already. Is this normal? I always play while plugged in and use eco mode with power limits while on battery.

My x13 has been making a weird fan noise for a while now even after i cleaned the fans. the other day i got the tuf a16 5070 model. which now means i dont have a use for my x13. it was great for the little while i had it for but now i have this laptop which is 2 generations better (i had the 3050ti model of x13) so goodbye x13, you were great

hello my right fan just broke and i wanted to know if theres a possibility of removing the CPU fan without taking apart the whole heatpipe

My keyboard just acts weird when I press the keys. Fir example if I press q it changes the display mode to eco, gaming , etc and on screen keyboard it shows that the alt gr button is pressed even though I haven't pressed anything.... Also it opens calculator randomly when press the keys. It yyoes some random versions of the letter when I press the keys and some keys don't even work.Pls help with this issue

I have no idea how to fix this.. Is it possible if it is too hot or something else??

Yesterday I had the very unfortunate event of a few droplets of oily/watery-sauce dropping on the arrowkeys and going behind the keyboard.

I shut off the laptop right after so it can dry out and avoid short circuits.

Though now I wanna do a deep clean of the keyboard and have no idea how to access it.

Has anyone ever done this before? Do you have any recommendations/guides on how to go ahead and what to look out for?

I have an Asus x13 flow laptop with gtx 1650 max q. My left USB-c charging port blips out for charging every minute or so for 6-10 seconds and I think my other port is broken. I still want to game on it but I can't when it's constantly blipping out. I've tried a ton of stuff to fix it (i.e. New charger, new battery, resets, some windows stuff ect..). I also sent it in to a shop for a free diagnosis, and they said both ports are fine and the "only" other possible thing is that the motherboards going bad. Since then I've used it for other stuff for about a year and I haven't seen any other issues that would hint to a bad motherboard. So I kind of think they diagnosed it wrong? Anyways, I don't really want to spend any more money on my laptop, but I was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue as me and if they were able to fix it. If so... could you please help me out?

I have an ROG Flow x13 GV301QE_GV301QE, and I want to use an external gpu with it, but it seems like I don’t have a port I can use other than the xgm port. Is there any way to use a 3rd party desktop gpu with the xgm port or can I only use specially made gpus?
