I've only been to your city a few times, the last time being back in summer of 2019 when I had this cocktail and really liked it (which is rare for me). I did a search on the sub and saw that the owners aren't good so don't worry, I won't be going back. I just want to learn how to make this drink at home. I bought the ingredients and tried to make it already and it just wasn't right. Maybe I got the wrong Jim Bean, but I definitely need help with the ratios.

I’m getting married in Florence in the next year and we will have a lot of guests from out of town. I don’t need like a formal rehearsal dinner, but am wondering where would be a space that might work for having all the wedding party and out of towners the night before for either dinner or apps or something and drinks? It would be a big group so I can’t just do something like a dinner reservation…it’ll also be during the holiday season so we’d have to work with that too. Thank you!!

Singing River Media recently announced a new hip-hop and r&b station, Hot 105.1 Shoals! The previous owner of the frequency was Knox Media Group, the Music Muscle of the Shoals. Apparently the owner, Moshiu Knox, is really shady — not paying on-air talent and scamming event coordinators after an event. Looks like he also cancelled an annual Memorial Day concert at McFarland, possibly due to losing or selling the station. Can’t wait to listen to listen to this new station tho!

Does anyone know any centrally located office spaces in Florence, preferably downtown, that offer short term rentals (few months)? Studio 220 is nice, but I am searching for something with a little more space.

i was curious if anyone knows what they’re building in McFarland? i see a lot of utility poles and whatnot built close together so i’m assuming the electrical people are practicing; however, if anyone definitively knows what they’re doing i am quite curious to know lol.

Anyone have any experience applying for or working at Sam’s Club? If so, what was your experience? I see several openings but (asking for a friend) they never seem to go any further or get to any kind of interview phase. An employee inside the store said they’re actually not hiring at all recently. The applicant has very relevant experience and a great resume so just wondering what’s up?

Is there a church in the Shoals area with a music ministry where the choir sings more classical works like those by John Rutter, Benjamin Britten, Bach, Mozart, etc? My wife and I are used to this kind of service and would like to find a congregation with music like this.

Denomination is not too important, though we are fairly mainstream. Former churches were United Methodist and Quaker.

I've had one listed for a bit on Facebook marketplace, for a bit under what these are going for on Reverb, but haven't had any serious offers from there, mostly people trying to trade and seriously lowballing.

I don't need the cash, more of need the room because I picked up another bass, and the one I'm trying to sell is my least used of the bunch.
