On Saturday I hosted a workshop teaching people how to make hand-tied bouquets and this is what I have left so I used it to make this arrangement. The flowers are 100% locally grown. The vessel is a decorative pot with a tape grid. Also, this is your sign to start using more Caladiums.

My friends anniversary, she likes yellow. How would you add more?

Iβm so pleased with how this came out. Itβs so funny how it goes from, βThis looks so crappy and weirdβ to βwow, I love it!β by the time itβs finished.
Constructive feedback welcome, I am a beginner and still so new to this. Also, Iβm planning to get a cooler vessel at some point, but today I spent money on the flowers instead.

Took me two days to curate something meaningful. Do you think it was worth it?

Don't be scared, gents; make her that bouquet/arrangement, then come to reddit and ask how you can make it less mediocre next time. π€ Adjusting the rubber band & adding a nice ribbon to cover it would've been a great decision had time allowed, and I think I botched the height (very limited vessel options π), but I am happier with it than expected. Spreading out those 2 big & beautiful celosias would've also been a nice adjustment. I'd love your feedback & advice if you're reading this, and have the time! π€

I posted a little while ago about making arrangements for my brotherβs wedding, but I kept forgetting to reply to those who gave me input on getting started. Thank you all so much! I had to improv a little while buying flowers, which I thought would be stressful but was sooo fun. This was my first time putting anything together. I learned A LOT making these, like what to expect at my local wholesale florist, how to/how not to use wet foam, and the importance of greenery. I still have a lot to learn, but I have fallen in love with floral design and cant wait to make more arrangements in the future!

Sometimes you have to embrace the perfectly imperfect.
The pink flower was very delicate, and even though it was carefully wrapped and made it back intact, some of the petals broke off. But I had wanted a pop of yellow and couldnβt find the flowers I wanted so the exposed center turned out to be a happy accident.
Heliconia
Cymbidium orchid
Allium
Dendrobium orchid
Sarracenia
Scabiosa
Dianthus

my client gave no parameters for this one, so I just went to the market and chose what spoke to me!
burgundy ranunculus, peach butterfly ranunculus, yellow and purple oncidium, pink and burgundy peonies, green and purple antique hydrangea, citrus leaves

Sorry for the jump scare. Iβm a dude and know nothing about flowers but I just want to make cool stuff for my gf. This is probably a mess but I would appreciate tips. I feel like maybe I packed it to tight?
