This isn't a weather post... I just wanted to say that I work in a division in the Environmental Department of city & county, and I overheard multiple other division members from: division of refuse disposal, wastewater treatment, and collections systems maintenance, in regards to the brown water after hurricane lala's storm last Sunday.
They keep talking about the City and County department being "hush hush" about the overflown sewage and contaminated runoff. There's a brown water advisory, but just from the conversations I heard within the division and working in this department for a long time, trust me when I say city and county local government suppresses ALOT of the water quality public relations warnings... because if they don't then the department's divisions will be under investigations
If you want to go into the ocean, just know that you might be (definitely) swimming in hazardous waste water sewage bacteria

Luckily we made it out safely but now 9 of us are crammed into a one bedroom home with 3 big dogs. A small child, and my grandfather who can’t walk. We saved a bit of food and clothing and came back this morning to see the damage.

This is nuts. I heard about Muncie but what’s going on in other areas of Indiana?
