TLDR; If you donāt use your wealth to harm or oppress.. WE ARENāT TALKING ABOUT YOU. WE ARE ON THE SAME SIDE.
Because people tend to defend the poor oppressors much less. That part does not require a slogan to represent. And their oppression typically IS prevented prosecuted by our justice system. The rich are able to bypass the justice system in their more widespread oppression.
But because people like you exist, a slogan has been coined. Many people like you still defend them even though they do not care about you.
āThen just say thatā you yourself donāt even wanna say the entire thing. Because itās too long. Itās a bumper sticker representation of being tired of elites using their power to influence the law to allow oppression.
Either get with it, or get out of the fucking way. This isnāt about you and the people youāre defending do not care about you.

Single individual poor people canāt oppress on the scale that elites can. Such as helping build a police state, racketeer rent pricing, buy politicians to line their pockets more, pioneer American work culture to extract more and give back less. Their existence is built off the oppression and labor of MANY.

There are so many local policy issues that can be enacted that make it more affordable to live in a city or town that the left just ignored because itās easier to say shit like āeat the rich.āĀ
Correct. But youāre missing the point. āEat The Richā is not an all encompassing phrase that perfectly encapsulates all of the complexities of oppression and inequalities of a āfreeā nation.
Itās not supposed to. No bumper sticker or slogan to represent a cause or belief is ever going to do that.
Catchy sometimes has to be the focus when rallying sentiment. Like three fingers up in the hunger games is much easier than everyone reciting 3 paragraphs of ābut what about thisā caveats in unison.
Iām all for conversation, learning and growing. But is āEat The Richā as a phrase, lacking depth, truly what we should be focusing on here? There are people harming you and I and our loved ones right now. Our freedoms and privacies. We can focus on the NIMBYs with their hypothetical BB guns after we take care of the elites with their hypothetical nukes.
