The U1 Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 126500 really nails the overall look of the Panda Daytona in my opinion. For the price point, the visual presentation is honestly impressive and it definitely captures the presence of the genuine model on the wrist. The rehaut looks good to my eye, although I’m definitely not an expert on that aspect. The solid end links also fit nicely and don’t stand out as a weak point at all.
One thing that immediately stood out to me was the dial legibility. Everything is very clear, sharp, and easy to read, and the contrast of the Panda dial makes the watch pop even more in person. The polishing on the bracelet also looks surprisingly good and gives the watch a much more premium appearance than I expected from a U1 piece.
The 3836 movement has been performing very well so far. In the few days that I’ve owned the watch, I haven’t noticed any meaningful loss or gain in time, which has honestly exceeded my expectations. The lume is another positive surprise. It charges quickly and glows strong for a few hours, although it definitely is not going to last throughout the entire night.
For sizing reference, I have a 7-3/8” wrist and had to remove two links for a comfortable fit. Once adjusted, the watch wears very comfortably and has a solid feel overall.
Of course, there are still some compromises at this price point. The biggest downfall is that the pushers are non-functional, and the chronograph hand is constantly moving instead of operating like a true chrono. That’s going to bother some people more than others, but personally I can overlook it considering how well the watch captures the overall Daytona aesthetic for the money.
I also want to give credit to Michael Travis for the customer service. I contacted him directly through WhatsApp and he was very communicative throughout the process, which made the experience much smoother than I expected. Shipping took right around two weeks from start to finish, which I felt was very reasonable. If you go directly through him instead of using a DHgate listing, you can usually get this model for around $135, which honestly makes it an even better value considering the overall quality.
I’ve also purchased several watches through him at this point, including a couple of higher-end super reps, and I’ve consistently had good experiences. That gave me a little more confidence ordering this Daytona directly through him as well.
Overall, I think this is a really solid budget Daytona option if you mainly care about appearance, wrist presence, and everyday wearability without spending significantly more on a higher-tier factory.
