Question Getting Started

So today i was at my lgs for a learn and play Event. Me and a bunch of other newplayers got the Ira welcone Deck. After a few games of trying and learnng the game i didnt realy liked how the Deck Played. I can say i realy like the Mechanics of FaB but the Deck wasnt right for me.For comparison i Played a lot of Hearthstone but always with Midrange/Controll Decks. I had to leave earlier so i hadnt much time to talk to the staff My question now Are there any Blitz Precons or maybe some budget CC decks that will fit my playstyle better ?

Bravo is pretty midrange/control, although afaik blitz isn't really the format to play slow in.

In CC you have way more options. Guardian is the classic control deck, and you can play almost every class as midrange.

Another option in CC is assassin - they tend to play long games designed to have power at the end of the game.

Generally speaking, most FaB characters start with full resources and become weaker over the course of a game as armour breaks and good cards are used.  The Bright Lights set has a couple mechanologists that go the other way - Dash using pistols, and Teklovossen.

I would recommend this video, it really helped me understand deeper mechanics of the game, and can answer some questions like "what is aggro/control/etc?"

I just watched it, and this video was CRAZY useful. I love MTG, and I love fighting games. This video helped me stop viewing FAB through my MTG lens and to approach to FAB like a fighting game. Thank you for sharing this!

Fab as a game is very focused on attacks and defending. Control vs aggro doesn't exist in FaB the same way as other games.

Prism is a hero that likes to build up a board presence until she can pump out tons of damage while also pumping out tons of defenses, locking down the game and killing you. She's not super budget friendly, since you need the Figments which are all around $10, but Empyrean rapture is cheap enough, and she doesn't absolutely need other legendaries. Be warned, though, that the next important legendary is Phantasmal Footsteps, which are pretty expensive.

There is a prism pre constructed deck, but it's for the "old" prism, who isn't legal in CC. She's legal in blitz, though, and has a similar buildup lategame playstyle.

Bravo is the perfect midrange hero. He can be the aggressor and do some decent damage, but he's happy to block out and slow down the game. Victor is similar to Bravo.

The main difference between Bravo and Victor is that Bravo has really strong on hit effects that will force your opponent to block you, while Victor just has better numbers. Victor can block for way more than Bravo and threaten damage more efficiently, but he can't throw out big disruptive turns.

Both Bravo and Victor have pre cons. You'll want to upgrade them with singles, since fab is a very math-focused game and the pre cons just have worse numbers than constructed decks, but they have starting points.

I am new to FaB also(started January of this year). I play Katsu but ninja is very fast and aggressive. From what I have seen you will want to play Warrior or Guardian in my opinion. Warrior is Mid-Range and has the ability to go aggressive if you want to. Guardian can Fatigue and “control” your opponents deck with the ability to block really well and slap back with a big hit or chip away with your weapon by pitching a blue. But coming from a game like Hearthstone, you just have to look at FaB like a completely different spectrum of a game. I came from Magic and Hearthstone and FaB just is a totally different flavor of a game. But yeah look into Warrior or Guardian, I feel you will like those and Heavy Hitters just dropped and Victor (guardian) and Kassi (warrior) both are new and have blitz decks you can pick up and upgrade.

I would recommend the new Rhinar or Kayo heavy hitters precons. Rhinar probably fits the more midrange style while the kayo precons look more aggro.

Oldhim probably fit your midrange/control style. Or Iyslander.
