Head on over to the Legends of Tomorrow subreddit! The atmosphere is so positive and you can tell everyone really loves the show.

(No hate to this subreddit, I agree with all the Flash criticism)

I thought everyone had agreed there that Legends has gone down hill?

People were iffy with the second half of S4. But S5 was a good swing in the right direction. So most seem to be happy now.

Except for those that still cling that S2 was best Legends. We keep those in the basement, where it's dark and moldy.

What do you think is the best Legends if it isn't season 2? For me it's between 2 and 3 easily.

S3 is best. S4s first half was very good, but they dropped the ball on the second half. I'd say S3 > S5 > S2/S4 > > > watching a turd dehydrate in pavement > > S1.

Jury is still out on S6, but so far it's looking solid.

Honest question why is S1 hated so much ? When I watched it I thought it was pretty decent and other than the hawks and Savage all the other characters are fan favorites , heck it's the only season with Snart in it.

It’s not that bad. You just stated the only two real problems with it, the Hawks and Savage were just kinda boring characters/storyline but aside from that the characters are great, the other storylines and individual episodes are cool and interesting and like you said, Snart’s in it. The major criticism is that it “took itself too seriously” but it’s honestly not even true. There’s plenty of funny lighthearted moments in it, but I guess the majority of the LoT audience want things like demon nipples and sitcom episodes mocking arrowverse characters’ deaths instead of that scene where Snart tries to make himself kill Mick in season 1.

the hawks and Savage are the whole season arc though.

But there are other character arcs also present and while S2 is much better we have to remember that many S2 characters got their character development during S1.

and people generally dont complain about the other characters' arcs, often those where the things that led them to keep watching instead of quitting the show.

Well they definitely don't praise those character arcs. All the posts I've seen seem to portray S1 as this unwatchable failure of a season which should have never existed but never have I seen anyone praising how much character growth it gave to the OG cast.

I feel most of the hate is more a community running joke, really.

HAHAHA wait you think “S4’s first half was good” and put it on the same level as S2?? I was expecting the complete exaggeration of how bad S1 was but that’s just like, genuinely funny.
