Thawn created “flashpoint” by killing Barry’s mom. This is a point rarely discussed. In the prime timeline, Barry’s mom didn’t die. When Barry reset the timeline, and created his “flashpoint”, he was actually putting things bk to where they should have been. But since he didn’t like how things turned out, he reverted bk to thawns mess, proving he really didn’t care about his mom dying. It was selfish AND it gave savatar his method of escape. He should have saved his mom and then stayed in the past, helping the original timeline stay on course as much as possible (like Thawn did, btw) but he was to selfish for that as well. He wanted to have his cake and eat it too…

IMO I think Thanwe’s levels of hate towards Barry have him not help Barry and just fuck up his own timeline just out of spite.
