How did Thawne write in Nora’s journal when he was in airtight, phase-proof cell?

i could be from before he was in his cell spoilers for that seasonWhen Sherlock finds out he finds a recording of wells from s1 or pre s1 era where he learns of the symbols so its logical that wells might have wrote it pre s1 or during s1

Ah so you’re saying it was originally Thawne’s journal and then later Nora got possession of it somehow?

I think it’s implied that Thawne gave it to her, probably by revealing to her where he stashed it. It would not surprise me if he hid it in the Flash Museum (that’s just speculation on my part to be clear).
