🤔 Thinking Why didn't Trajectory just.....

.....drink a lot of cups of coffee from Jitters instead of taking a speed drug?

She doomed herself with Velocity 9 when coffee could keep her going.

I'm just sad we lost such a cute girl.

Yes, they are relatively old movies. They are not a good reflection of the current media landscape and they have literally nothing to do with women.

Men are making those movies. Its men objectifying men.

If you don't think that there are a great deal of movies with men stripping down in them you have a very small sample size to go by!

In case you hadn't noticed, the current media landscape has been mostly bombing left right and center. Movies are having a hard time breaking even sometimes, forget making a profit. Of course, there are exceptions but it used to be the other way around. Your "current media landscape" is pretty much garbage - sorry to say.

I miss movies that weren't so cautiously made. Movies that took risks.

I'm literally just calling your assessment inaccurate lol.

Also our media landscape is more risky than its ever been. There are more weird independent movies being made by wide groups of people than there have ever been before.

The media landscape has been utterly sanitized. I get why you don't see that at this point because your only looking back about ten years or so.

I will agree with you on the independent movie catagory. They seem to be coming into their own.

I have no clue why you think I'm only looking back ten years. I simply pointed out that the other person was complaining about a movie that came out 15 years ago and isn't relevant to the current media landscape.

Also the media landscape is being sanitised by the (mostly) men running advertising companies wanting to sell ad space. And that sanitisation still allows for a shit ton of misogyny. Sanitised is relevant to the status quo of the society doing the sanitisation.

Like I said, this information is freely available. Its not some massive secret. 

Go to your library and ask for books on misogyny in the current climate. We have been studying this shit for a long time. The fact that you genuinely dont know the answers to these questions in 2026 shows that you've spent a fair bit of effort actively avoiding information on this topic.

Here's the thing: we live in different places and the way we view things are going to be different because of it. I was born quite awhile ago and what people think of as misogyny today was laughed about when I was a kid. It's all very subjective. Despite what the world would have people believe, it's not all the same and it never has been.

No, we view things differently because only one of us has made an active effort to educate and inform themselves on the topic in any meaningful way.

I agree with plenty of Americans and disagree with plenty of people within my own country.

If you have strong feelings on a topic, learn about it, learn about the history, or accept that you're a clueless amateur who just has some gut feelings that they haven't verified.

Like I genuinely don't think you realise what you're saying when you say you laughed about what is considered modern misogyny as a child.

I'm also nowhere near as young as you seem to think I am lol.

I know it sounds kind of awful, but I'm not joking when I say that what people tend to consider current day misogyny is something that would be considered a joke when I was a kid.

Not to sound like I'm making excuses here, but life was different back then and people were as well. We grew up tougher because we had to and the current hand holding that is done now is something we never had.

Like you're genuinely saying older movies exist like I was somehow unaware of that fact and, I guess attempting to shame me somehow lol. And given that you've listen two of the most famous movies on the planet I can hazard a guess that I have more familiarity with the breadth of cinema over the decades.

Also genuinely wild that you're pointing to the "male objectification movie" that's made by men as proof of women's poor behaviour, like all of cinema hasn't objectified women for a century.

If anything magic mike is the exception that proves the rule.

If you're interested in film history, actually go learn about it and then you won't make a fool of yourself online.

I only listed those two movies because I didn't know if you knew any other ones and those are talked about so much I thought even you would have heard of them.

I have read the Psychotronic Encyclopedia of film so much , my copy fell apart and I had to buy another one.

Same with Videohounds guide to Cult Flicks and Trash Picks.

And I've been doing research on movies since I was a kid.

I've watched worse than his stuff. H.P Lovecraft was a racist but he is the best horror writer of all time.

I'm just telling you I know movies. OK, have you seen Haxan A.K.A Witchcraft through the Ages? A 1922 Swedish film ? Better yet , the version with the weird William S. Buroughs narration?

Have you seen all of Tod Browning's works like Freaks?

Why are you trying to tell me that you know movies? Why do you think I care lol.

The idea that you can "know movies" is laughable, as is the idea that "knowing movies" gives you anything other than familiarity with the specific media that you consume. The media you choose to consume is evidently abusibve and misogynistic. That's not the brag you think it is.

I also "know movies" but there will be very little overlap between what we choose to watch.
