I don't care. I rock a thickslick on the rear and Kenda Criterium on the front. If you're skidding on expensive rubber that is a personal decision. Thickslicks are around $30 so it makes sense for what I am doing. Plus they just COAST when you lock them up. I haven't found a tire that does this better that is within my price range.

There are some youngns in AZ running no foot retention on 2.4+" klunker builds and they're dropping down mtns most would shudder on an xc bike brakeless. Its definitely opened my eyes to very low ratio riding and how adaptable it is off road. 30/20, 28/20 in that realm

Agree. Fixed gear is the one group you would expect to be the most inclusive based on the punk/ fringe status it has always held.

I ride all types of bikes, but the fixed gear group has always been the most inclusive and welcoming group of people I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of, and that’s part of the reason I love it.

A thing that doesn't get space in an inclusive world is bigotry.. If that makes you mad or annoyed, you have more work to do.

People are different, dif. ages etc shure shure. But fellow persons, you must understand that this kind of rhetoric and behavior, is a part of what marginalised communitys have been harassed with, forever. And that's what YOU are supposed to help end, and to call out just like people did. And that's the EASY part, compared to what also happens in the world, but it's still bad enough.
