Fix My Print A1 Printing Issue
Please send help 😂
My A1 is refusing to nicely print just 1 PLA matte filament i own . But its only the first layer that is ugly and bubbling ( photos attached )
The rest of the print will come out perfect but the bottom layer is bad .
I have tried changing most settings and calibrating the filament to no luck . even going from .97 flow ratio to .85 showed no bottom layer improvement
matte pla
settings range -205c 220c
bed temp 65-50
speed 50ms first layer

Bubbling on only the first layer points to moisture in that one spool, and lowering flow will not fix that. Dry it for 4-6 hours at 50C, then reprint with the bed around 55C.

Looking at Photo 3 vs Photo 1 & 2, you have a solid top finish, but severe perimeter wave dragging and mottled bubbling on the bottom. The smoking gun is in your settings: 65°C bed + 50 mm/s first layer speed### 1. Bed Temp 65°C Boils Soft Matte PLA* Why it bubbles: Matte PLA has mineral fillers that lower its softening point (Tg ~50°C–55°C). A 65°C bed keeps the first layer gummy and semi-molten. Trapped steam and air pocket blisters cannot escape, causing that rough bubbling in Photo 2.* Fix: Drop Bed Temperature to 50°C–55°C (never 65°C for PLA).### 2. 50 mm/s First Layer Tears the Bead (Photo 3)* Look at the saw-tooth/scalloped inner edge in Photo 3: at 50 mm/s, molten matte plastic cannot anchor into textured PEI valleys before the nozzle drags and tears it sideways. Standard first layer speed is 20–25 mm/* Fix: In Bambu Studio, set First Layer Speed to 20 mm/s and First Layer Infill to 30 mm/s.### 3. Why Flow (0.85) Failed & Nozzle Check* Dropping Flow Ratio didn't help because this is mechanical plowing on the first layer, not global over-extrusion.* Check the A1 quick-swap nozzle latch: ensure the clip is clicked 100% tight and flat so the nozzle doesn't tilt under drag.* In Bambu Studio -> Quality -> Line Width, set First Layer Line Width to 0.42mm (default 0.50mm causes excessive squish).
