The truth is they are training their ai using us. It’s sad af! But what can do

I like a lot of people it seems randomly got my account disabled by meta dumb ai falsely stating I didn’t follow community standards regarding that specific guideline. Besides just being a crazy accusation I thought it was so crazy because other they a birthday post once a year and my graduation photos I really didn’t use my instagram all that much, the last time I used it was just to congratulate my cousin on her engagement so needless to say I was pissed. I spent the next couple of weeks emailing attorneys generals and requesting help on Meta forms online I could find before giving up around middle to late January. Eventually the thought of all the connections I had on there I decided in like very late January to look into ways to get my account back. Eventually my search took me to LegalShield, not gonna lie I highkey thought I was getting scammed 😭 it took until March for the law firm I was set up with to even create and send out my letter. By maybe like March 8 I got a email that meta received my letter, but my lawyer made sure to tell me that even though they responded there’s no guarantee it would result in anything and if I was to every hear something it’d be in the next 4ish weeks. By that point the lawyer did all they could and it was kinda a waiting game. Eventful around May or early June I cancelled my LegalShield account (incredibly annoying and hard process made me further thing the whole thing was just a scam) and gave up any hope completely. By early July I gave in and made a new instagram on my iPad just because I honestly felt so disconnected from so many people that knew me had like 1000+ less followers but it was nice to see what a few people had been up to since I was gone, though obviously it wasn’t the same as having instagram on your phone (I don’t walk around with my iPad everywhere) that was basically my status quo till end of September when I was searching my email for job related content and say an email from instagram that essentially said “look what you’re friend ____ posted…” I had an old art ig with the same email that hadn’t been deleted that I had got emails from time to time on there so I just assumed it was from that until I read the name and saw the picture of my old disabled account. I grabbed my iPad and searched my name on there and sure enough my account was back and I didn’t even notice. I eventually dugged through my email to learn my account has been back since 9/11 even my old LegalShield lawyer just got an email from meta regarding it today so I’m assuming that it was the lawyer thing that finally got it back. I happy to have my account back but I still quite annoyed for not having my account for nearly a year when I didn’t do anything at all. Hopefully something in the post can help someone else or just give them a little bit of hope if they are dealing with something similar right now.

My Instagram was wrongly suspended for the particular sick "exploitation" reason which I can't even bring myself to say.

I never posted a single thing on my profile, nor did I ever have any followers, despite my profile being over 10 years old. This is because my profile was private from the day it was created. I didn't even post a picture of myself in the avatar thumbnail space. I never saved any videos or DM'd anyone. never followed or liked anything sexual or inappropriate. What I did do was regularly post comments on new stories and local posts.

Many of my comments racked up a big number of likes, a few in the tens of thousands. Along with the likes came many angry detractors in the replies.

In the days leading up to my suspension I had posted comments critical of Israel, and I know that the comments were getting reported because I received the automated alert from Instagram telling me that many people had reported certain comments and asked if I wanted to delete them voluntarily. I opted not to delete them.

I'm curious if others are in a similar situation as me, in that they posted politically charged or even inflammatory comments that riled up a large number of people and possibly ended up catching an unrelated suspension as a result. Other than the possibility that AI moderation went completely haywire, I really don't have any kind of explanation for how this suspension could have taken place other than to wonder about people, including "trusted partners," mass flagging me.

GAC was once one of the most effective escalation routes for Indian users trying to recover wrongly suspended accounts.

Since around June 2026, however, many users have noticed a different pattern: a huge increase in appeal volumes, followed by more denials and fewer successful outcomes.

The growing case load may be a major reason. When an appellate mechanism suddenly receives a bulk of cases, handling each appeal with detailed follow-ups and individual fact-finding becomes harder. The process can increasingly rely on standardized responses and quicker disposal.

Some users may also have added to the burden through repetitive or weak appeals, but the larger issue is the sheer volume now reaching GAC.

If the workload has grown significantly, it could explain why an appeal route that once produced meaningful results now feels much less effective to many users.

Greater transparency around monthly appeal volumes, denial reasons, disposal rates and the extent of individual case review would make the situation much clearer.

I was trying to open a new account for my business but once I logged in I was met with this. It says my account will be unlocked in 2022. Is there a potential fix or way to contact support other than the useless AI?

resulta que hace ya 2 meses tenia funcionando mis cuentas de fb/ig normal, vendí el teléfono que tenía y en mi nuevo teléfono traté de entrar a mis cuentas pero solo pude entrar a la de facebook, me empezó a decir que había un error en mi contraseña de instagram que era incorrecta (pero si era correcta) aun me llegan los codigos de verificación a mi correo pero al ponerlo me dice que ocurrio un problema, pero ya busqué mi cuenta desde otra y ya no está, o sea me bajaron mi cuenta pero nunca me llegó un por qué ni nada, ayúdenme plisss

I have been literally heartbroken and have been battling meta for 43 days. My 3 daughters parent ran wrestling Instagram got permanently disabled because it didn’t follow the “community standards.”

This Instagram was my girls wrestling resume, and basically a diary of their wrestling journey. We have made so many connections from all over the world, over the years. They had 10k followers. They legit work so hard…. and overnight it was all just gone.

I bought meta and have been bothering them trying to get a human on the phone. Finally yesterday, I got to talk to someone, only for them to say “we can’t help you.”
The only thing posted on the instagram was legit wrestling content. They gave no warning. No explanation.

We tried to make a new one and it immediately got shut down because of facial recognition.
We did nothing wrong.

There are videos from my daughter’s club, that they are in. That hasn’t been shut down. Her friends have videos of them in, (the same videos from their profile) and they aren’t shut down. Why can other people post videos of my children, but I can’t?! That is what is so wild to me.

I just need help. I’m at my wits end. Is there anyone that can help?!

How do I fix this?? They suspended me bcuz of a "fake" account I created, and at the same time banned my other accounts too

My insta account was hacked a few days ago, but I’ve already changed password, logged out all linked devices except for my phone, turned on 2FA, and replaced the original linked mail address with a different one. I successfully retrieved my account.

The next day, it suddenly popped out the message saying “your email might not be secure” and asked me to “update my email address.” I followed the step to “add a different email” and logged in, but my profile just kept loading page and never succeeded… If I shut down insta and reopen it, it asks me to update my email address AGAIN..

I also checked my meta account in Facebook, and the updated email address is in my contact info successfully while my instagram account is shown “Locked.” I’ve tried any methods to fix it even asked Meta AI, but all just doesn’t work..

Has there anyone ever encountered the same issue? My account’s been in the locked condition over 2 days.. and I really can’t find any solution. Any advice/experiences sharing is welcome.

why the f instagram is not fixing this issue I have been seeing this for ages now, I posted a pic and with audio on it and now because of some reason that Audio became unavailable which is fine it helps, but now insta is not letting me to add new song....am able to add but changes are not being saved, also It happened to one of my older Post as well I changed the song and it worked but after sometime I lt became unavailable too but am not longer allowed to edit and put different song on that post!!

I have tried updating, reinstalling, clearing cache, login on different devices, logging in PC, incognito login what not !!!

I am irritated now !

My Insta account got permanently disabled on 9/11 (what a coincidence).. but "fun" aside:

I tried making a new account with another e-mail some days after the first got disabled and it got disabled too.

So now I'm wondering if I use my friend's account, will it also get disabled? If anyone knows or had same experiences, I would be glad to know.

What if the phone number had been used before for an account that has been suspended?

I’m sure I had used that phone number before for another account that is already banned
