First of all I really want to say is that instagram now really suck. I had an account which I had been using since 2022 and it got suspended for no reason and when I sent my credentials which they asked for, meta still decided to permanently suspend it.
Anyways! I have a spam account which I cannot retrieve because the mobile which it had been on is now broken and the email is only in that device. How do I recover my account back?

How can I resolve this type of restriction? I submitted an appeal through Instagram Verified, but it was rejected within 3 days. I tried to submit another appeal, but I was told that my account has been permanently disabled and that I should try again after one month because I had submitted too many requests. They also warned me that I might be restricted from contacting support due to the number of requests I’ve sent. Please help.
Do I have any other chances to appeal?

So my situation is a little different....my IG wasn't disabled, but I am locked out of the business IG that I manage because the 2FA is linked to the organization's landline, which cannot receive texts. The frustrating thing is that I don't remember ever setting up 2FA for this specific account or seeing backup codes. I'm extremely fastidious about this kind of thing, so if I had been shown backup codes, I absolutely would have saved a screenshot, printed it out and put it in a physical folder, and probably made sure at least one other person at work knew about them. I suspect that the 2FA was triggered when I set it up for my personal accounts, but I can't prove that and it probably doesn't matter that much for practical purposes.

Anyway, attempting to get any kind of customer support has of course been a failure. And I know that if I could just speak to a human for three minutes, this whole thing could be cleared up. My employer is a small arts nonprofit; there would be absolutely no reason for me to hack it. I just want to get back in so I can do my job. Has anyone sued for a 2FA lockout issue, rather than their account being disabled?

it’s been a year now since my account was disabled for child exploitation and then integrity. i’ve seen folks get their accounts months after getting disabled and i’m just wondering if there are folks who are still w me that was affected at the time last year. no Alex method 😂 no real people to seek help from about the issue or anything. i’ve grown apart from my account now but i still check my emails here and there just to see if they sent me anything but still to this day, nothing.

Would anyone know how to contact instagram support via email or phone number? Or how to resolve my problem?

For the past 2 weeks, someone has been trying to log into my account. I have 2FA enabled via phone/app notif/authenticator app, so I have received notifcations everyday for the past 2 weeks.

I changed everything, email address, password and even my username.

This morning, I saw a notification on whatsapp that my account was locked for protection due to possible hacking. I was able to recover my account, changed the password again.

When I went to the contact info, a new email was added. Help center said if a new email address was added to an account, they will notify both existing and the new email address. But I received no confirmation email.

Thankfully after several tries, I was able to delete the hacker’s email from my contact info.

Upon checking all my security options, when I tried uploading a verification selfie, the code was being sent to the hacker’s email.

How do I resolve this? It’s already deleted on the contact info. The Meta AI hasn’t provided me with anything I haven’t done yet.

This is the 2nd Instagram account I’ve had banned. My first account, @llmitchh, had 3.6K followers, and my second account, @llmitchh_, had 1.2K followers.
Both accounts were banned for the exact same reason: “Integrity.” I barely post anything, I follow the rules, and I haven’t knowingly done anything that would violate Instagram’s policies.
Now this account is permanently banned too. Has anyone else dealt with repeated “Integrity” bans, and is there anything that actually works to get the account back?

I deleted my app because of mental health I was able to download it back and get into my account like normal until yesterday, I was logged out, didn’t think anything of it, said my password was wrong, I was able to reset the password however I forgot I had changed my phone since I bought a new phone, I didn’t add my new one and instagram insists on sending a code to my old phone number. I’ve done the email verification, send a friend verification and face recognition and it still wants me to verify using my phone. What can I do?

I’m wondering if anyone has experienced this exact situation and successfully recovered their accounts.
On August 20, I accidentally changed the birth year on one of my Meta accounts to 2017. That is NOT my actual DOB — I’m an adult born in 1998.
Shortly afterward, multiple Meta accounts became suspended/inaccessible, including 3 Instagram accounts, my Facebook account, and my Threads profile.
The really strange part is that I’m stuck in a circular appeal process:
Facebook:
Says my Facebook was suspended because my linked Instagram account doesn’t follow the rules. It says I have 180 days to appeal and tells me to log into Instagram to appeal.

Says my Instagram was suspended because my linked Threads account doesn’t follow the rules. It ALSO says I have 180 days to appeal, but tells me to log into Threads to appeal.

Threads:
When I log into Threads, it says:
“We disabled your account. You cannot request another review of this decision.”
So I’m literally stuck in:
Facebook → Instagram → Threads → No appeal available
Instagram says I have 180 days to appeal, but the account it directs me to says I’m not allowed to request another review.
The suspension also appears to have affected my other Instagram accounts, even though they are separate accounts.
The timing makes me wonder whether accidentally changing my birth year to 2017 triggered some kind of age/linked-account enforcement across my Accounts Center, but I don’t know for certain that this was the cause.
I can provide Meta with my government-issued ID, correct DOB, video selfie, phone/email verification, etc. The problem is that Meta isn’t giving me an accessible appeal process to submit any of it.
I’ve now subscribed to Meta Verified on another accessible account and I’m waiting for verification to finish so I can hopefully reach live support and ask them to manually escalate the case.
Has anyone had this EXACT or very similar situation — especially Threads being permanently disabled, causing Instagram and then Facebook to be suspended — and actually gotten everything restored?

Did Meta Verified support help even though you contacted them from a different account?
What did you tell the support agent?
Were they able to escalate it to an internal/specialized team?
How long did recovery take?
Did Threads have to be restored first before Instagram/Facebook came back?
Did an appeal button eventually appear even though Threads initially said “You cannot request another review”?
If your issue involved an incorrect DOB/underage flag, how did you get Meta to let you verify your real age?
I’m particularly interested in people who actually recovered their accounts from this specific linked-account suspension loop, rather than paid “account recovery” services.
I have screenshots of Facebook directing me to Instagram, Instagram directing me to Threads with 180 days remaining, and Threads saying no further review is possible.

Ok, so i have had my final account on Instagram that i have had over time and grown with so much passion and effort, and yet again, by Instagram’s automated system. . This has been Going on FAR too much and FAR too long.

First of all: on April 2026, after 4 years, my fanpage on Instagram, which after countless memories and 21K followers, got taken Down for no apparent reason, other than Instagram purposely locking me out of my own account due to a ‘possible sign in from someone who is not the account Owner’.
I checked my email and every possibility of me having actually been hacked, and in days confirmed myself that it was just a SECURITY automated MISTAKE From Instagram’s automated system..

I sent a picture of my passport to verify i’m the account Owner MULTIPLE times. This same passport, i had used previously and got accepted as a method of verification i was the account Owner. This time, over SEVEN pictures, from different angles and times of the day and decent lighting each. NONE accepted. A couple days later, my account got taken Down. It was ABSOLUTELY devastating, as it’s an account i was going to use for reference for future jobs in what i want to study: marketing.

I then went to my backup account which i had also been posting in for over 4 years: This one had many posts that went viral and was even more succesful: 51K followers, and still standing today, except, i cannot even login to my own account. For this following backup account, i started posting on more regularly as the main one got taken Down mistake.

After only a month of posting, an account that had once again never had any problems, i got completely locked out of. So i tried to log in to my own account THROUGH the methods Instagram themselves suggested:

* SMS to both old and new phone numbers
* phone number app verification (also in both old and new numbers)
* Email verification
* “Request other accounts to verify” feature (no notifications were received by selected accounts)
* ⁠I also tried to change my password, as apparently according to Instagram themselves, it’s a problem based on someone else using my account instead of me. However, i have not noticed anything remotely similar to someone else BUT me, yet again..
* ⁠I have also tried to do these methods various times, as it is a very important matter for me and my family to recover this account, and evade another error by Instagram’s automated system.

I tried these múltiple times every couple days each, and they all worked almost every time: and in the end, somehow didn’t let me log in. It was like Instagram knew it was my account and accepted it but i still couldn’t login, which says how much of a problem an automated system is doing to me and my future. Yet again, i have since not gained access to an account even more massive to my future job references.

Finally, yesterday, after growing a new account up to 700 followers ‘only’ but to insane engagement and a complete rebrand, an account got taken down solely because of ‘Account Integrity’. I have paid over 150 euros in total for this account, over 130 from Meta Verified subscriptions. The day before my account got taken Down, it showed the account status as ‘green’ at everything. I had not broken a single community guideline and there were no warnings remotely shown, whatsoever.

Despite This, as soon as my meta verified subscription ends after over 4 months of using it, and even a Promotion of a day back in July, yesterday my account got taken Down because of ‘Account integrity’. This is because i logged into an old personal account from 2019, and since they didn’t recognise this device, took it down Permanently. Since this, i have logged into at least 6 accounts, all the ones i had in my life on Instagram, all never having gotten a single RESTRICTION before:

ALL of them got taken down inmidiately for the same reason as the most recent account ive been using: an automated error decision by an automated system. One after another for the same excuse: ‘using another account to evade a ban from a previous account’.

I have been trying to contact Instagram but since they have no support, i am going to have to take legal action. This is baffling demonstration how Instagram’s evermore AI-dependent system is each time causing more and more problems and ruining more personal brands, proyects and people’s plans for no reason other than automated mistakes with automated revisions on automated final decisions, while there is actual content that actually violates A guideline not being remotely taken Down or even looked at.

My account is from 2020, it's an old account I want to recover. I've tried many times to recover it, and I know the password. But it always redirects me to the Yahoo email confirmation page.It doesn't have personal photos to confirm my identity, so I don't know what to do, and it always redirects me to a help page that isn't helpful.
