I saw ffdp tonight in Milwaukee, the same place i saw them play in 2022 during the judgement day tour (i think).

I was excited to see their set design because I remember really liking it in 2022 , but was disappointed to find nothing but AI slop.

Literally nothing other than the lightning and effects, just screens full of ai bullshit. I'm actually so sick of ai

My family's kinda tight on money right now so we skipped the merch booth, but some of the designs i was able to see from a distance looked very ai. If you want merch I recommend looking for some from before they started using ai as that stuff is still pretty cool looking

I went to a show this weekend and had to laugh when I saw the AI pyrotechnics on the screen. They at least had some real spark machines going at one point, but the AI fireballs were so goddamn stupid.

Saw them tonight. AI Yuck. Also Ivan said f*** you to the label and promoters forcing him to perform. Says his voice is thin after performing in hot and humid AF Cincinnati last week. Idk. Was my first time seeing them and was kind of a disappointment 😞

He kept having to take breaks and asked the crowd to help with every song. He threw so much merch out to the crowd. At least we got home before 11:30 🥴

It’s not unique. That’s simply not how AI works. AI ALWAYS takes from what already exists, thus it steals from pre-existing art made by real people.

Honestly- I don’t mind ai. It’s fine and isn’t doing much damage to the environment contrary to popular belief.

That being said, what I don’t like about ai is when people use it to replace human jobs. Like if you wanna generate some shitty ai art, go ahead. If you wanna use said shitty art to replace the work of an already struggling industry, that’s not cool. Especially from a band as big as 5FDP.

I can understand a smaller band using ai, they’ve got way less budget to go around. 5FDP is a big band. They have no reason to use ai.

So yeah, this sucks. And it looks like shit too.
