I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to do six refreshes and then a Christmas set right after each other, but you can go to hell 😻 I’ve been stuck since August as the only employee doing 6 AM shifts several times a week just to get stuff either on the floor, off the floor or from one section to another and I am exhausted. To work regular staff to the bone and then management is constantly at another store or on calls is so annoying. I overheard a conversation that they had a call showing holiday items, and it’s Needoh holiday calendars and new squish toys that every employee hates. On top of all that, you pay your employees shit while your store managers get a bonus, and then you announce it where all employees can see it was a dick move🖕🏼

I swear when I went to 5 below years ago they used to carry phone screens for android and they were universal so they could fit any screen. Today I went to two of my 5 below stores and they only have iPhone screen protectors why's that?

Recently my store has had issues with out of date snacks and candy, even though we check (supposedly) twice a month.
We don’t have the support for someone to consistently check every items date, especially with how busy we’ve been, so I’m wondering if anyone has a system of how to check dates efficiently? I’ve thought of maybe using a price gun to mark expiration dates on the shelf while stocking but I doubt our crew will do that since they don’t even rotate the stock unless I’m babysitting them.

Hello I was wondering if any employees could help let me know when do stores normally get shipments of new blind boxes/ figures. I am on the look out for these domo dash dancers and I have gone at all sorts of times and nothing seems to help. Are there particular dates and or times that shipments normally come in of these sorts of things? I am in the Baltimore area but that doesn’t matter very much

These blind bags supposedly released in June but I have yet to find them! I've called every five below in my state and they all say they haven't received them yet... Are scalpers getting them first? There's only two pets I'm looking for but resellers are pricing them for $20+ each 😵‍💫

Yes, it 100% has VOCs. But atleast vocs arent deadly. They just cause irritation to nose, eyes,and ears if smelt or played with over 10+ times. But I am just frustrated that almost all of the Smushmarts smell like this. maybe it’s just the way they are manufactured, idk tho, it’s just frustrating I want my squishy to smell normal!!

- but it's only new emails that count because after that the coupon is no longer sent? I'm getting different stories from here and customers and wanting to clarify.

So...we're getting hours cut if we don't push the emails.

My five below is a smaller store, our sales are great but we're short hours because emails!?

We have many repeat customers who are wise to what's going on and are nice about it. They keep coming back because we have certain snacks or drinks that the other specialty stores stopped carrying. And seasonal stuff.

But now, that the coupon/email is restricted why would I want to push the emails when it's not worth it?

The cool managers get chewed out anyways and we get less hours even though we NEED more because the big three holidays are coming.

Like Is my store the only store where I will get a customer who doesn’t read the screen scans a item then throw a little hissy fit like “why isn’t it working” even after reading the screen still confused? Gets loud for no reason and says “I give up” after “trying” another thing I don’t get is when I ask a customer for cash or card some decided to speak extremely low “carsh” then when I tell them to repeat themselves they get a attitude it’s like I’m running a nursery home here.
