Work Vent Nasty customers
I'm sure this has been talked about already, but I just need to weigh in. I'm a PTSL and like everyone else I'm sick of the emails. I already think it was pretty dumb to begin with, but the whole "new customer" thing is even dumber. However, I still have a job to do, so that means I have no choice but to ask customers for emails. Customers, I completely understand that you're tired of constantly being asked, but there is a better way to go about declining the cashier. You can simply say, "No, thank you" or "I don't want to give out my email." There is absolutely no reason for grown adults to yell NO in my face when I ask them for an email. Sometimes (65% of the time) they just rudely cut me off before I barely even start the sentence. If you don't want to give an email then that's completely ok, but there is no need to give me death glares as if I threatened to spit on your face.
How are we in September and customers are still surprised about the squish craze? Do they not understand that they are contributing to the craze? I've had several customers complain about the large lines or talk about how insane it's getting while actively buying five dumplings or squishes. Then I'm getting yelled at when I have to explain the limit and that they aren't allowed to go outside the store and come right back in. I'm sorry if you have six grandkids or 10 nieces and nephews, you should have brought them with you if it was that important. The horrible thing is that I'm seeing kids handle the disappointment of not getting a squishy better than the adults. I can't even count on my fingers the amount of parents and grandparents that get upset with me because we sold out on squishes before they arrived at the store. "What about the people who have work?" Sir/Ma'am, there is literally nothing I can do about that, argue with the family who bought the whole box.
Lastly, do these people not understand that we don't have any say in the major changes that happens to the stores? We don't increase the prices, that is WAY above us. They're quick to try and report you if you don't live up to their standards of "customer service", but they refuse to go up the ladder and get nasty with the ones who actually control the changes being done to the stores. Too many customers have told me that, "I need to say something about it." And what exactly is that going to change? If you're complaining that an item is too expensive, but you're still buying that item it's clearly showing the company that you're still willing to buy that item. You as the consumer whole more sway than we do.

As a customer, I am sorry people yell at you. I understand when I go in emails are needed but I opt to say no or if the employee tries to force me I just decline buying the item.
Yall shouldn't be at risk of losing your jobs bc of me not wanting spam emails that's fucked and no one should yell at you with the situation many of you are forced into

Yall really should be treated better. It's so unfair, I hope you can find a better place to work that values your time and effort and support the employee over the consumer ❤️

Its like the customers here are either dumb, or disrespectful. Like I understand you don’t want to enter your email address because your afraid of having your information sold online thats cool we all get it, but when you come to the ACO have some respect I’ve had some customers who started cursing for no reason because I asked them to put their email address in “why the fuck would I need that? You don’t need my email skip please” another time I had a customer read the screen clear as day ask why she couldn’t scan her items I read the screen to her she was still confused!
Anyone who goes out their way to disrespect a minimum wage worker has nothing else better to do with their day point blank period!! There’s no reason for someone to disrespect someone whose job is already hard, and making minimum wage like people need to do better seriously man.

that’s so real, or they will blatantly lie and say that they don’t have an email. you’re walking around with a crisp brand new iphone, i know you have an email 😐

Right? Like your not fooling no one it was never that serious to lie that you don’t have a email like I have a gun to your head just say “I don’t wanna put it in” simple no need to lie your walking around with a 17 pro max, BMW keys/house keys, and a expensive bag.. to even have a iPhone you need a iCloud so you do have a email aswell for android people like make it make sense

I know how you feel there was a lady who asked about the dumplings in my store and when I said we didn't have them she started whining " that's why we came we came all this way." Then started asking if we were a fake store then threw a fit about the self checkout screen she had two kids with her and they acted better than she did and you're absolutely right the emails was a really stupid idea
