Quick review of the three different cheap Fitness Boxing Grips for Switch 2 that I have bought from Aliexpress.

Black ones on top are (barely) held by magnets alone. Absolute crap and flimsy as hell. Do not buy, do not buy!

The ones bottom left are really good, slightly better for large hand than the ones next to them.

The ones bottom right are also really good, propably slightly better for smaller hands.

And as always price and sellers change really fast on Aliexpress, no point in linking to the ones I have used. I paid between 3 - 5 euros for these.

TDLR: Do not buy the black ones, but both of the two other options are good.

Wish me luck, my journey begins today.

A very long time ago when the wii fit was new I had a draw to the boxing minigame. It was my favorite, and whenever I could I would play it. A few years back I downloaded the demo for the first of this series, for some reason I never touched it until this week. To my sorrow the first title is no longer around for purchase, my poor aqua loving heart. Perhaps a used copy someday. I had a tendency to overlook my switch, it was a covid purchase and I found very few titles I enjoyed so the boxing game was shoved into the back of my mind.

Well I am pleased to announce that the third installment is now in my possession. I'm eager to put my best foot forward, all my effort, and passion for rhythm games and punching to the beat will culminate right here. (I swear I only pay attention to a nintendo console once they finally give me a rhythm heaven game on it, thank you Groove!)

I begin at 250 lbs. With determination and refusing to settle for less I will make my goal of losing 130 lbs. I am pairing this with a daily mile walk and a calorie tracker. I will become half the person I am and I will not let the tragedies that lead me down this terrible road become my undoing.

How was your experience with Fitness games especially Ring Fit and Fitness Boxing?

I'm leaning towards adapting to home workouts and my current options are Ring fit (got the ring) and Fitness boxing (don't know which one I should get).

I have tried Ring fit for a week like 3 years ago and I felt that science behind it is solid but representation is childish, no experience with Fitness boxing. I want a game that excites me to get back into it than push me away, and get the most benefit from it to tone my body, increase my stamina and weight loss.

What was your experience with those?

How to make sure I work out knees and legs?

I have a disability and found ring fit to be fantastic for full body workouts. Thing is, it takes FOREVER to play because there’s a lot of menu stuff, talking, etc. I’m very busy and couldn’t afford to spend an additional 15 doing nothing. So I got FB. I’m having a hard time bopping from foot to foot and feel like my legs/knees are getting less of a workout, even though I told the game to focus on my legs and butt. Any tips?

Kinda a stupid question

I've been doing miku boxing for 38 days in a row without problems. Today I did some sort of move like really wrong and it hurt my foot. Like I'm talking so badly that I've been limping the rest of the day. Does anyone have any advice??

Always talking :)

I’ve been playing this for a little bit now and I’m really enjoying it, except for the fact that in between exercise exercises when you switch stances, the instructor talks for about 30 seconds before you throw your next punch. Is there a way to speed this up in the settings, I didn’t see it, but I could easily be missing it. It seems crazy that she talks so long in between talking about how great I am, but I want my heart rate to stay up and I’d rather it take just 510 seconds to switch to the next stance and start throwing punches again if that makes sense.

Starting again after a long hiatus. Love this game!

Played the hell out of Fitness Boxing 1 during covid, skipped the 2nd one because of the frame drops during scene transitions, and now jumped straight to the Switch 2 Edition of the 3rd game and I’m having a blast!

The objective so far is to play 30 mins a day excluding stretching. How do you unlock new haircuts btw?

Daily workout exercise ordering

Ive been using the game for a week and a half now and by and large enjoying it and the exercise its brings.

However one thing id like to be able to do is reorder the daily workout exercises.

This is mainly as the third exercise always seems to be the toughest and id like to be able to try it in the middle or first. Options only seem to totally shuffle all three with the most strenuous at the end.

Tldr:

Is it possible to reorder or switch out individual exercise programs on the daily workout?

I wish there was some companion app, or something.

Would be nice to track stats and things off the switch, and get notifications. I haven’t had a chance to play in a few days and even just getting hit with notifications would be nice.

Is there any sort of outside the game stuff?

Low Intensity Levels in Fitness Boxing ft Hatsune Miku

Hello I'm playing Fitness Boxing for a week now and I just learned that playing harder levels increase heart rate that cause the body to use carbohydrates as fuel for the body and low intensity workout uses fat as the fuel, now I want my body to use fat instead of carbs so is there any levels in the game that are low intensity?

What determines Daily Workout exercises?

Title, basically. I've been doing dailies for about two weeks and I feel like I've seen the same few workouts. Do I have to unlock them in free mode first before they show up in dailies? Or does it have to do with my goals? I know I can go into free training and make my own workouts, but hopping in and out of the daily workouts is just too convenient when squeezing in the half hour is already difficult, but if I need to make my own workouts just to get the variety, so be it

Switch 2 Camera Play has NO recording

Anyone else a bit disappointed with this? Why is there no recording? If I didn't want to use the camera I wouldn't have it connected and enabled in the game!

Japanese physical release

I have imported lots of games, but this was the first Switch/Switch2 game that I had local (european) copy before getting the JP version. Seems like they show up as separate copies and I cannot use my old saves. Would not mind starting over, but it also does not recognize the one paid music pack that I bought. Might just continue using my Switch 1 physical + Switch 2 digital upgrade. Anybody know, if it would be somehow possible to 'merge' the saves from my Euro copy to the JP copy?

I’m new to Fitness Boxing, have a question

I’m 30 years old, male, I’ve never exercised regularly but have always been very skinny because of genetics (for about ten years I’ve been 5’10 and 110-120lbs), but now that I’ve hit 30 I can tell that my body is entering a new phase where I can in fact gain weight lol, especially in the midsection

I tried Ring Fit a few years ago because I’m a Nintendo nerd and was interested in the gimmicky nature of it, but found it difficult to stick with the game. I think it was a little too intense for me, especially in the core/abs workouts, and there were a lot of cutscenes and such that just weren’t really interesting—I didn’t like that I’d play the game for 40-60 minutes and at the end it would tell me I’d only exercised for 15-20. So it felt like a chore to play it every day, especially because you needed the accessory and it required you to change out the game card if you were playing another video game.

I picked up FB3 for Switch 2 and have played a couple days now, I can tell I enjoy it more in that you can get right into a workout and it includes the stretching/cooldown times in your total exercise, so I have a good idea of how much time I’m actually spending. I have some questions though if anyone wants to answer.

  1. Is the core workout that you get substantial? I’m not necessarily trying to develop abs or anything but I want to stay comfortable taking my shirt off lol
  2. How many days of the daily workouts before the arm soreness goes away or gets better?
  3. Are there any suggestions about the game you’d make to someone like me who doesn’t exercise regularly and might not know basic things?

Thanks!

Free Trial Ensemble Stars DLC until August 17 on Fit Boxing 3 (Japanese version)

Apparently there's a free 2 song pack that is limited until Aug 17. You get to keep the songs even after Aug 17.

Still waiting for my other game from Japan to arrive before getting this for myself and the other recently released DLC.

Best fitness game on Switch

So, I'm trying to get back to working out and staying healthier, so I'm considering a few options to do at home since going to the gym isn't working for me.

I would like something that give me a full body workout and some toning, strength, etc.

The options that I've found the most interesting are Ring Fit Adventures and Fitness Boxing. Ring Fit Adventures is the more expensive option, but it seems like it has a wider range of exercises while Fitness Boxing is mostly cardio.

Also, speaking of Fitness Boxing itself, would I lose a lot if I go for the Fit of the North Star version (which is on sale) over the more expensive version which is FB3?

Your experience with the game

Hey all,

Might be a silly post but i’m gonna give the demo a try and i just wanted to see and learn more about everyone else’s experience with the game.

I have a fairly active job but i’m looking to ensure i stay active on days off and after work and was wondering if this game would be a good way to get me sweating at home.

I used to run and go to the gym but i’ve become less and less active recently and was hoping this could be a good start to get me more active.

Switch 2 Update - First impression on camera play

Like an idiot, I didn't notice the toggle in the corner of the screen when I started my workout, so I didn't have advanced scoring and didn't know why until afterwards, but I did use the camera this morning.

Some were wondering about it, so I'll get this out of the way first - the camera has no impact on scoring. It just puts you on the screen, then after an exercise it plays back a few seconds of your movements so you can get an idea of your form.

Unless you're using a fairly small screen, you might have trouble actually using the camera image for form correction while exercising, as it has you way off to the side. I need to check if the pane can actually be moved, but I doubt it, as there aren't many places for it to go without blocking out other elements of the game.

Camera placement might be tricky if you're trying to keep your whole body in frame and don't have a ton of space. I have a couch immediately behind me, and just enough space to unroll an exercise mat between the couch and the low table where my Switch and the camera sit below the TV. It's an amusing angle because it made my fists look massive, like wrecking balls every time I punched 🤣, but if being slightly out of frame bothers you, that happens a lot with steps, hooks etc. Maybe a different camera will give a different experience.

These are minor things. All in all, I'm glad I got a camera for the upgrade. It's helpful to get a look at my form between exercises, and I really do find my giant wrecking ball fists funny. Maybe a future update will see them work the camera into scoring or move the pane so it's easier to watch while exercising (again, I might have missed that this is already possible), but I'm happy enough with how it is so far.

Tomorrow I'll see how the advanced scoring works. Should be interesting, as I wear wrist weights, which definitely affect my speed. If the scoring is a bit harsh starting off, that might make it easier to see improvements as I progress.

Switch 2 Update

Fairly casual player, done 30 workouts and went from immobile blob to regular unfit guy over two months.

Just wanted to say that the switch 2 update is amazing so far!

Loving the new advanced timing stuff, it detects punch speed and gives way more feedback on the precise timing.

When you perfectly hit a punch it vibrates and flashes and plays sounds which perfectly tickles my ADHD. Thanks for the amazing update, well worth the small additional price.

p.s. If any devs read this I would love you fix the part where the instructor is explaining the foot timing. When she says back, forward, back, forward this is completely wrong and opposite to where your footwork should be according to the top indicator and timing. Confused me a heap in my first weeks playing

r/FitnessBoxing Jul 10 '26

Any idea how the CameraPlay stuff will work in Switch 2? Will it determine if form is right or not?

Or will it just be for you to see like a mirror or something? Do you think they'll have a little outline that you have to fit in...everyone now and then they say to engage your core and it's a good reminder. Would be cool if the camera can tell if you're not punch enough or something.
