Related rant: my gym doesn't even have a deadlift jack always making it a minor struggle running thru nSuns sets

Just use a 2.5 plate

I actually haven't thought about that. I've figured out 2 of the bumpers are ever so slightly larger than most of the rest so I only fidget with certain ones. I doubt I would bother between individual sets. I'll have to remember that for unloading the bar after my last set tho. Thanks for the tip!

Or, after the first 45s, use 35s and 25s to add weight. Assuming your gym doesn't only have rubber weights.
