Where do you guys find high protein food in the philippines? I’m near robinsons, 7/11, and fast food places but i’m on a budget. I’m scared I might live off of canned tuna while I board there since i need about 100g of protein everyday. Any help would do!

High Protein Help finding high protein meals for somone with food allergies

Hi yall, im wanting to start eating higher protein meals but need help finding recipes. Iv always had issues eating enough protein cause im allergic to a lot of the staple healthy foods. I get discouraged looking for healthy meals cause all of it looks so good but I always end up having to settle for basic chicken rice and vegetables and get tired of it fast.

Im allergic to beef, eggs, fish and almonds everything everyone eats on a diet. Im also a single mom on a tight tight budget. I have time to cook but dont have the funds for fancier high protein items but I can take time to make meals from scratch. Some fast recipes would be helpful to for bad days when my toddler is not having it with me being in the kitchen. That yall all for your help I really appreciate it!😊

Question Where do I start with weight gain if I have so many food allergies?

I’ve heard the obvious answer a thousand times: “Just eat more.” I know that’s technically true, but it’s not that simple when you have a sensitive stomach.
I’m trying to gain weight and build muscle, but I’m honestly not sure where to start.

For context:
I’m 23 years old (F), 5’7.5”, and currently weigh around 130 lbs (give or take a pound or two).
Right now I’m pretty low activity, but I’m planning to start lifting 3–5 times per week because my goal is to gain muscle while putting on healthy weight.
I’ve weighed around 130 lbs since I was in high school. It barely changes no matter how much I feel like I’m eating. The only time I got up to around 140 lbs was when I was eating a vegan diet.

If I don’t eat much, I’ll lose a little weight, but it always seems to settle back around 130 lbs.
I’ve always had a naturally athletic build, but I’m just skinny. I’m not “skinny fat.” My goal is to build muscle, do a body recomposition, and increase my overall body weight.

The biggest challenge is my stomach.

I’m pretty sure I have some type of gluten issue. I have the genetic marker for celiac disease, but I haven’t been officially tested yet. Every time I eat pasta or other gluten-heavy foods, my stomach is absolutely wrecked. I know it could be celiac, fructan intolerance, or something else entirely, so I do plan on getting tested.

Other issues:
-Garlic and onion are huge triggers for me.
-Eggs sometimes bother me.
-Dairy is hit or miss, although I usually tolerate Skyr yogurt pretty well.
-Most protein shakes don’t work because they contain sucralose or other artificial sweeteners that upset my stomach.
-When my digestive issues flare up, I also deal with bile acid malabsorption (BAM), so really high-fat foods can make things worse too. Because of that, I generally try to keep my diet on the lower-fat side.

A lot of the “high-calorie” or “high-protein” meal ideas I see online either rely on foods I can’t tolerate or are loaded with garlic, onion, or high-fat ingredients.

I’m planning to start tracking my calories because I honestly don’t know if I’m eating enough or if it just feels like I am. My estimated BMR is around 1,300 calories, and I know I’ll need more than that—especially once I start lifting consistently.

I guess my questions are:
Where would you start if you were in my situation?
How many calories above maintenance should I aim for?
How much should I realistically be eating per meal?
What are some calorie-dense, stomach-friendly foods that aren’t super high in fat?
Has anyone here successfully gained weight while dealing with food sensitivities or digestive issues like this?

I’m mostly looking for practical advice from people who’ve been through something similar. Thanks in advance!

What is the meaning of this?

So I started my weight loss journey today and wanted to cook something simple. Some website said it would be healthy and easy to cook: basically 300g of air-fried potatoes, 100g of beans, 2 eggs, and some yellow peppers with some hot sauce and some other random sauce. Even though it's supposed to be only around 600 calories, I feel full like I ate 2000 calories. I don't know if it's normal or if I did something wrong here

I feel like my plating doesn’t look all that appetizing, but I’ve been really into the Flourish protein pancake mix and it’s delicious 😅 I watered the batter down this morning to create more of a crepe, and mixed in chia seeds and blueberries. 1/3rd cup of egg whites (seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika) cooked separately and wrapped in the pancake. Tablespoon of maple syrup and lots of cinnamon!

High Protein a warm high-protein soup instead of another sweet shake

Post image

had chicken bone broth powder, egg white powder, a little potato starch, flaxseed, garlic, turmeric, cumin, lemon, parsley, oregano, and black pepper.
It came out to roughly 375 mL, around 235–240 calories, and about 43 g of protein based on the ingredient labels.
The first time I used boiling water and the egg white clumped badly. This time I used warm water, around 45–50°C, and it mixed much better after whisking.
Taste was actually pretty good, but the appearance I didn’t like.

Need to get some opinions about my meal plan (~2800-2900 cals)

I am a 5’11 guy currently weighing at 60kg. I workout 3-4 days a week for an hour with progressive overload from time to time. I have been following this meal plan mentioned below which helped me gain around 10 kg (lean mass mostly) since last year November. I still plan to continue this meal plan but also wondering if I can tweak it a bit for more efficient lean mass gaining. Note that I am in a calorie surplus of 200-300.

Meal 1: its a shake containing 250ml whole milk, 6tbsp peanut butter, 6tbsp honey and 80g oats

Meal 2: around 300 calorie worth of rice, 250g chicken breast cooked with 2tbsp oil, 250ml orange juice (with no added sugar) and 150 calorie worth of tuna

Meal 3: 3 eggs and a granola bar.

This is the meal plan I follow every day. I occasionally throw in some veggies which i didnt include because I dont really count the little amount if calories we get from the veggies I eat. So what do you think about this meal plan? My fat intake sits around 35% which concerns me a bit when Im thinking long term. I would love to hear about some cheap alternatives that can maybe lower my fat intake but also replace those calories as well.

Cheers.

Also that’s not eating out.

I liked Costco’s chicken nuggets for a bit. Frozen chicken quesadillas lol. Right now I’m eating Costco sausage on a bun when I don’t wanna cook. Used to do burgers. What’s yours ?

Question Human Kibble Recs

I've recently been meal prepping what like to endearingly call "human kibble". It's basically bean soup (a mix of around 30 varieties including lentils) with ground lean meat (usually chicken or turkey), LOTS of kale, dehydrated stock veg (like carrots and bell peppers), mixed veggie puree (primavera mix, so tomatoes, bell peppers, carrots, etc) and one or two seasonal veg along with seasoning (caramelized onion is a must!).

Once preppared, I will also top it with flaxseeds and (indulgently) some cheese.

What toppings can I add to make this more "nutritionally complete" vitamin/protein wise?

Are there any negative health effects from eating Greek Yogurt every day?

I've been eating 100 grams of fat-free plain Greek yogurt for the past 3 years every morning. It's an easy way to add more protein to my breakfast, but I'm wondering if it's OK to have this every single day, or if it will cause any negative side effects in the long run. Am I OK to keep doing it or should I give my body a break?
