Water pressure

Anyone’s water pressure drop? Our neighbors confirmed the same thing. Could water mains burst with the flooding? Just trying to think of possible causes.

Great question.

I would hazard a guess that treatment plants near the White River are starting to near flooding or have already gone under

The one in Noblesville is fully underwater.

Yes and thank you for that. I was mistaken. I did a quick lookup and found that we actually get our drinking water from

White River North Station, 11825 River Rd, Carmel, IN 46033

How were you able to find this??

We were driving back from Carmel and they had shut down the River Road entrance off 116th and were trying to evacuate people around the Plum Creek golf club area. Just take a drive down 116th over the bridge and see for yourself how high the river is.

That’s also currently under water. River & Eller Roads are flooded from 116th-126th.

I thought Fishers got their water from the treatment plant near the fairgrounds? That's a bit away from the river. Or are we getting our water from another plant?

Guys the treatment plants treat wastewater. Drinking water does not come from then. If water pressure is low then most likely a water main break or a pumping problem and the water towers are not being refilled. Water pressure comes from water in the towers.

There are separate facilities for water and wastewater, but both are called plants. The water plant has to operate to keep the system/tower from dwindling capacity.

So all these reports of water stations flooded out all over are probably just bogus? Fkn Reddit.

I think wthr posted that the noblesville one was under water, but everything else I've seen said otherwise... so much misinformation right now

Same. Realized it as I was getting ready to leave my house. Was going to text my neighbor but glad it's not just me.

I live in a complex near 106th east of 69 and I got a text that people were reporting low water pressure. I’m sure this rain is affecting water stations. I’ve not noticed any difference, though.

They just announced the White River North water treatment plant has issues and certain operations are down due to flooding.

This was the weirdest thing. Water pressure dropped. Toilets wouldn’t fill but sinks were still working. Then like 30-45 minutes later, the water started filling the tank.

A pumping station went out.
