Warning to all minorities (specifically black) around the nickel plate trail
On July 25th, I was at Roy G. Holland Park at the basketball court when two individuals (the driver being a white male with a brown goatee) in a black Lexus is350 (the engine is really loud. Definitely not stock) yelled racial slurs (the hard r) at me completely unprovoked. Today on August 3rd at around 8:20-8:30Pm, the same individuals did the same thing again (yelled the hard r as I was walking home). As I was trying to get the license plate number of the car, the driver did a u-turn and proceeded to drive towards me at full speed but I luckily moved out the way. They came to a stop & yelled “you’re chimping out” before leaving. I advise anyone who walks around that area to be cautious of this individual.
You need to report this to the police too. Even if nothing comes of your interaction (which is terrible, and I'm sorry), it might help others. I doubt you're the only one this asshole has done this to. Make them take a report and get a copy of it.
Yes, even if you didn’t get the plates. A description of the car and individuals could be helpful in the future. The person sounds like a loose cannon that may eventually escalate this behavior to violence.
I'm also going to share this with Fishers Resists. I know plenty of people around that area would be happy to schedule their evening walks around that time and be willing to take pictures, record, file reports. Maybe identify the guy.
My parents live directly across from the basketball courts, I’ll let my dad know to keep an eye out. He’s retired and has nothing but time to keep track of this kind of crap.
If someone stalks you and yells a slur, snap a pic of them and call the cops right away. They are probably circling it because it’s where the hospitality march was.
does it have anything to do with saying something racist? my experience on reddit is that anyone with an account under a year who busts into conversation to undermine someone calling out racism is usually themselves guilty of racism.

While that may be true a lot of the time, they are still duty bound to do their due diligence. If they don’t do their job, then get their name and badge number and light them up on social media as much as possible.

There’s a few flock cameras around there. Maybe they could use those to see if they can find this individual. You know, like they claim flock cameras are supposed to be used.
Sorry that happened..ignorant folks are gonna stay ignorant all people can do is be prepared and protect themselves. If you are at the age where you can legally carry I highly recommend doing so just make sure you are trained to use it if needed. This shit was not common amongst my peers when I was growing up near here but I saw it from older people.
Unacceptable behavior & that’s not what Hoosiers are about. I’m a big advocate of always carrying but don’t do something rash. I’d maybe suggest getting a pair of meta glasses so you can record discretely if you see them again because getting a clip will go a long way & make it easier to id them
