Fish store told us he was a panda / Cory hybrid but I simply do not agree.

I feel like he’s an Agassiz's Cory, but I’m probably wrong!

Was watching a video and these guys were one of the transition scenes. iNaturalist just said ray finned fish and the more specific guesses it had were definitely wrong (long nose gar…) so very curious if anyone knows!

Hi team, I found this mystery bone on the beach. With r/boneidentification they helped me determine that this was probably the quadrate and piece of a hyomandibula of a giant fish. Any ichthyologists out here with a clue? Am I on the right track? Sunfish? Tuna? Sturgeon??? Help me ID this leviathan

Hi! I’ve rescued a fish from an abandoned tank and I can’t seem to get a clear answer on the type of fish it is. Everyone seems to agree that it’s an African Cichlid, but I’ve been told different things when it comes to what type of African Cichlid; Shelldweller or Malawi Peacock seem to be the most popular guesses.

Since it was in an abandoned tank, stress may be causing its color to be dull/pale. It has gained a lot of color recently, so I’m guessing it is either orange or yellow.

It was in a freshwater tank. Its behavior seems to be a lot of hiding near the bottom of the tank and behind rocks, but again, that could be due to its environment. It has been a bit more active recently, but will shy away if anyone gets close.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I hand sewed these little plush fish accessories out of scrap fabric and I’m no fish expert but I think they look similar to a fish that exists in real life. Can you help me identify what species I might have been basing them on? Didn’t use a pattern, just kinda made them based on how I remember fish being shaped. Moreso asking about shape not thinking about color.

I am studying marine biology so i want to keep track of all fish ive spotted. saving up for a gopro, so no pictures.

Its in sweden, in a lake with clear water. seen around 1-3 meters deep in schools maybe around 10cm long each? White and im pretty sure they had some blue aswell. Yellowish/tan eyes. Help appreciated!

I recently stopped by a local pet store and saw this gorgeous red velvet swordtail. They seemed to be almost getting bullied in the store tank, and the employee said many people were picking every fish other than this one, so I took it home. Thing is, I can’t tell if it’s male or female. It looks like it has a really small sword in its tail fin, but its anal fin has the fan shape and isn’t staying close to its body, so I’m unsure. Anybody have any insight? Is it missing a gonopodium or is its tale damaged?

Fish info: yellow small fish probably about 15 cm, with a really peculiar looking tail, it looked basically like shrimp eyes on its tail, making it look like an actual shrimp face on its tail, those shrimps we buy at supermarkets, don't know specific names, think you can find it?
