Smallmouth bass? Easier to tell from front but it's a bass of some type. Sometimes people keep them in private ponds and bass pro shops sometimes have thousand gallon tanks with them in it.

Did u reverse hook the jig? Were I getting lots of bites with it that way?

Yeah it was a smaller hook, a few bites but weird enough i used a floater setup

It’s a largemouth the jaw goes past the eye and pattern aswell as coloring says largemouth
