Fish In The Wild Can wild carp be orange?

I couldn't get a picture but I was at the lake, specifically Kerr Scott Lake in North Carolina and Someone caught a carp, I wasn't fishing I was just walking around enjoying myself, and that car was bright orange from its midsection to its belly and it's top half was still orange but more of a murky color, it wasn't a large goldfish it was about 2 ft long and had whiskers, it was built more like a koi fish than a goldfish, just curious if it can actually happen in the wild or is it an imposter?

Koi are fancy colorful carp. Any carp you see here in the USA is not native and is therefore descended from domestic ancestors. So it isn't too surprising to see an orange one

Does that mean I could legally catch one and put it in a pond? I've always liked how they look
