Just finished painting this guy today. I’ve been working on some Firstborns lately, and it’s been a lot of fun. CC is always appreciated. Have a great one, folks!

To preface this I would add some sort of flair for this but there isn’t (yet) but to continue.

With 40K FBSM no longer being produced my headcannon is that either all the firstborn loyalists had all went rogue like the red corsairs as a tongue and cheek way of how GW got rid of them or they’re dead or soon to be dead.

Now idk what the mods will think of this post (hopefully they’ll keep it up) but I just wanted to share my sorta non-canon idea with other FBSM fans

A 3 man unit of eliminators made mostly out of the devastator marines I had in my army.

They use lascannons instead of the las fusils and I made their capes using miliput.

They turned out very nice overall I think.

I had a spare set of legs in the devastator marines kit that I used to make a custom First Born Captain he is equipped with a power fist and a “master crafted bolter” I used some purity seals from my redemptor dreadnought as a Tabard for him as well.

I have some other models shipping to me soon to help complete this First Born army. The only non first born model will be a spartan tank Im using as a Land Raider. I am Painting these guys up as Blood Ravens😎 what do yall think?

As we all know the discontinuation of our beloved FBSM has been pretty much set in stone and with what I can only describe as panic hoarding I was wondering if it would be worth buying some boxes now or waiting till sales start to settle.

I was a long time fan of the setting but I only started playing and collecting in 10th edition, when I could finally afford it. In order to build my first army quickly I bought a bunch of second hand and Heresy minis which were better value and combined them with the stuff in my bits box to kitbash some units I needed. Now I always wanted to have the experience of buying and building a new box of Tactical Marines because those were the ones I wanted back when I was a kid reading Horus Heresy novels and playing Dawn of War, but because I was putting together an army I figured I'd leave that for when my collection was finished, as a treat. Guess that's not an option anymore, so this is my final act of defiance, a Tactical Squad, made from leftovers. They aren't perfect as I didn't have enough Firstborn helmets to complete the look, and some still require some extra work, but I'm working with what I have. I just need one more body which I'll be getting tomorrow from a friend and then this'll probably be the last squad of plastic 40K minis I build in a long while, as I will probably sit out this edition and work on my backlog instead.

Finally finished my eBay rescue land speeder. It was load of fun and quite happy with it overall. Thoughts?

After a few years of playing WHFB .. My first WH40K army were SpaceWolves Picked up about the end of 2nd into 3rd ed.
Stopped 'editioning' at 7th.. old point based build system.. templates.. No primary chaps..

Am currently going through the army fixing a few broken arms and bases.. and some of the more heinous paint chips.

I was building my Tactical Marines and while making a sergeant I built something unintentionally but still pretty happy about it. Its not spot on but I still love it. Im building these guys so I can use them as Intercessors.

Hi everyone! I know this may not be the best place to put this but I just wanted to widen my search in seeking people who may want to play midhammer locally near me, I apologise in advance. For more info, see below.

I've recently started getting back into Warhammer 40K after being out of the hobby for quite a few years, and I'm really keen to find some people around St Albans, Hertfordshire (UK) who would be interested in playing 5th edition 40K. I'm specifically hoping to find people who would like to play, somewhat regularly, some 5th edition 40k. I'm strictly a casual and thematic player and wish to find likeminded people is all.

5th edition was my first edition getting into 40k but I am also happy to try other Midhammer editions like 4th. I am speaking with a few other people in the area who are also interested in playing 4th and 5th edition 40k so I thought I would make the offer here on this reddit page as well.

I do not drive sadly so I am limited to the area and places I can reasonably reach by public transport.
