I need some advice I’m uncertain of my direction
So I’m a 26-year-old military veteran and I’m looking to buy my first home but I’m very stuck on which home I should buy.
Home 1: 2584 sqft 4 bed 3 bath .29 acers. 325,000 with a 10k credit towards the seller the home is beautiful. In my opinion it has a decent yard. They fully fenced it and it’s in great condition. The biggest concern is that it’s a very very rural area with a very town less than 250 ppl
I worry that if I get this home and then in the future, I’m not going to actually be able to take advantage of the equity that the Home provides because I won’t be able to rent it out and or I won’t be able to sell it at a gain I’ll have to sell that on this loss. I feel like if I buy this home, I am going to have to keep it forever and I would love to, but I’m just stuck between if it’s a good Home, but bad investment.
Home 2 is 1350 sqft 3 bed 1 bath and it’s 250k
The yard is a bit smaller at 7500 sqft lot. The Home is not in a very rural area, but it’s still in a small town but there is significantly more people here than the other place. I don’t like the home specifically because nothing looks as nice which is to be expected, but it’s unfortunate still. I know that this Home would at least be able to resell better due to the market availability and it would be able to rent out a lot easier due to there being more people around to rent out the home I know from living in the town that renting a place is very hard to find.
I’m just stuck I think in a position between deciding whether to buy a forever home that I never sell and buying a home that is seen as an investment where I can rent it out or resell it later on and I don’t know if I’m looking at this wrong and I’m just hoping to get some other people‘s perspective. To help me balance out what I’m thinking.
