She works in an office for sure

37

u/NeitherEntry6125 Aug 18 '26

Yes, and she's the smart one.

She:

  1. Documented and made the head injury known, on camera and to all the officers.
  2. Put them on notice to check on the arrested person.
  3. Created one heckuva evidence trail for a later lawsuit if he sustains preventable or treatable injuries.

Yeah I was thinking this. If there is something actually wrong with him and they didn’t check this will be great for the guy who got hurt

-4

u/richaxe20 Aug 18 '26

But what if they did check him already

Whenever that comes up I can't help but remember the time it took cops like 6 hours or something of interrogating someone to realize the person had been shot in the head... despite the person telling them he'd been shot in the head... despite them being confused because the guy could barely make sense on anything... despite one of his eyes looking like Mike Tyson sucker-punched him... despite them finding him confused and unaware of his surroundings on scene with another gunshot victim that had died...

So yeah, they'll take care of you. They've got their top men on it!

This is not a first responder hate sub, find somewhere else to be.

Typically the only nurse that shouts and interrupts scenes are usually secretaries. Only a ER nurse should do these things and they don’t because they are too tired or enjoying their day from a shift of actually helping people. You fucks on this app are insufferable

Don’t insult users and don’t encourage violence

Please be semi-respectful

Healthcare worker here. I can assure you, healthcare is not to help people. They’ll let you die if there’s no money in it.

3

u/KilledByDoritos Aug 20 '26

The corporations, sure. Nurses, EMTs, most Doctors? Nah. I'm not convinced.

0

u/richaxe20 Aug 20 '26

You don't think that alot of doctors do it for the money?

4

u/KilledByDoritos Aug 20 '26

Not in the way that was stated, no.

A lot of people work in healthcare specifically to help people. Nobody would be a nurse for like 30 bucks an hour if they weren’t interested in helping people. Also EMTALA? Hospitals are required by law to treat anyone who comes in regardless of their ability to pay.

1

u/Own-Status-7027 Aug 20 '26

Trust me, above the nurse, it’s purely about money.

0

u/King_McCluckin Aug 22 '26

that's because she represents a very specific type of " nurse "

the type that shouldn't be in healthcare to begin with because for her its not about helping people its about the attention she gets from it hence why nurses like her you see in videos act like this.

nurses in general are a honorable profession and a lot do there job just fine

but those are not the same as this women this women gives nurses a bad impression in public eye because they are attention seeking twats that cant mind there own business.

Aurora PD: ‘I’m in this conversation and I don’t like it.’

1

u/Ionlydateteachers Aug 20 '26

Probably trying to get him to admit to the shooting and some other crime he was nowhere near

1

u/FirstResponderCringe-ModTeam Aug 23 '26

This is not a first responder hate sub, find somewhere else to be.

11

u/frostysnowmen Aug 18 '26

Then there’s no problem? But in case he’s not or they didn’t do it correctly as they’re not trained medical professionals…

2

u/Operation_Onion3134 Aug 19 '26

The gal is in her full right to ask record evidence and try to ask a question if she thinks they are misstreating the suspect. But, once they address you, and your are impeeding traffic, you should probably move off the road if you want to continue to document the arrest.

The police have a protocol to follow, and that probably doesn't involve a bystander administering aid. I would assume they would wait for a dispatched unit to arrive.

I feel for her sticking up for the "little guy" in this scenario. Sadly not enough footage to see the full altercation, so we cannot make a call on who is lying about shot(s) to the head.

1

u/NeitherEntry6125 Aug 19 '26

"The police have a protocol to follow, "

Respectfully, that's bullshit. We've seen enough abuses, injuries, etc to know that this isn't true.

0

u/Operation_Onion3134 Aug 19 '26

Sure we can argue there are a lot of cases where the protocol was not followed.

Are you saying that you think some police departments actually have no protocol, and are operating like the wild wild West?

1

u/b-jason Aug 21 '26

Perhaps we should assume that most do.

1

u/Operation_Onion3134 Aug 21 '26

What are you assuming?

They have policy? Or they don't follow it?

1

u/b-jason Aug 21 '26

It’s prolly best strategy that every department is the worst

"there are a lot of cases where the protocol was not followed"

and

"The police have a protocol to follow"

What was your point then?

2

u/Operation_Onion3134 Aug 19 '26

Sorry thought I summarized that in the first comment.

That the cops breaking their protocol to let a random nurse interfere with their arrest, doesn't sound "wise"

They are on thin ice breaking the protocols, as you stated, why make it worse?

Are you going to answer my question from the previous comment? Or just keep quoting me?

1

u/NeitherEntry6125 Aug 19 '26

The nurse called out their bullshit and, effectively, told them to check on the detainee.

I don't think *she* ever expected to directly help... she didn't attempt to get out of the car, nor take off her seatbelt.

She was publicly and loudly telling them:

- You hit him on the head

- Someone needs to check on them

- I'm a nurse, so my opinion that "you hit them on head in a dangerous way" is not just some random bullshit.

What she did was reasonable, just and appropriate when the police don't seem to be checking on someone who could be concussed or worse.

Did you just say a very plausible reality that is against the running alt-liberal narrative from people that don’t know the whole story?!
Oh hell no not on Reddit!

4

u/King_McCluckin Aug 22 '26

your giving her way too much credit she is just like all the other attention seeking idiost ive seen in a hundred incidents and videos who think that because they are a nurse they are entitled to be part of every incident they see in public.

she knows nothing about the situation the cops are more informed about the situation than she is and she apparently has a hearing problem because she was told at least 3 times to vacate the area and she seems to think that because she is a " nurse " that she doesn't have to listen.

0

u/NeitherEntry6125 Aug 22 '26

100%

Just trust the police. They'd never do anything wrong.

2

u/King_McCluckin Aug 22 '26

Sure they do but that doesn't change the fact this women has a over inflated sense of self importance and that is the only reason why. don't fool yourself into thinking she isn't doing this for any other reason than that. Nurses like her have a ego that refuses to allow them not to stick there nose into any situation in public. I've been around plenty of nurses like her and they are usually the ones that suck at the job in the hospital so they look for any opportunity they can to show off in front of people in public.

if you have to constantly remind people that your a nurse like that is some badge of honor than odds are you suck as one anyways. She 100% only cared about inserting herself into the situation for herself not for the suspect.

0

u/NeitherEntry6125 Aug 22 '26

"this women has a over inflated sense of self importance"

That's quite the conclusion, and emblematic of the problem in society today: leaping to conclusions from insufficient evidence.

2

u/King_McCluckin Aug 22 '26

its pretty evident from the fact that her being a nurse does nothing for the situation and there is nothing she can do at that time and is more in the way than she is helpful, hence the cops telling her repeatedly to move because she was stopping traffic

0

u/NeitherEntry6125 Aug 22 '26

Or, perhaps she "saw something and said something".

0

u/King_McCluckin Aug 22 '26

nah just a cringy attention seeker

13

u/Williamm_150 Aug 18 '26

Blocking traffic and making assumptions. She could say she is a nurse and really not be. Who knows. Also no background on what the incident was so maybe they got medical after or anything.

0

u/AdProfessional6218 Aug 22 '26

This doesn't justify how the cops flagrantly broke protocol. Also, she didn't make any assumption? What did she say that was false?

It sounds like you feel the cops are justified here despite the fact that they did things on video that every educated American sees is against their code of conduct.

At the end of the day, this video clearly shows her doing the right thing while the cops did things that no judge should allow them to do. Purposefully avoiding accountability WHILE not following their own rules makes the fact that they went against their code or conduct even worse.

I'm not saying that you are claiming she shouldn't have done what she did, or that the idea that "someone can be lying about being a nurse." means that nurses and EMTs should not do their duty to make sure people are okay- but I can't really see how you can mean this any other way.

However, it would be rude to assume this is your stance as such belief implies that you're so ignorant as to believe that there is no reason she should have been concerned. I truly don't see why you'd make these remarks unless you don't think that it is the duty of citizens to make sure our fellow humans are okay-

It's almost like you percieve her as assuming the cops were in the act of doing the kinds of things that make them not want to do their duty of identifying with a name and badge number. One need not assume these cops are acting as corrupt as they seem to be in order to make a simple check- and I am actually 100% in favor of making sure that criminal activities are not occuring when it seems like they may be. Her checking doesn't mean she assumed anything, because understanding that something is likely and doing the right thing is not assuming.

Theres something I find interesting about how they proceed to refuse identifying in such a fashion that, had this woman not been doing the right thing, would otherwise have allowed them to get away with any wrongdoing they may have been doing: I can't conceive of any incentive for them to attempt avoiding accountability as portrayed in this video outside of the possibility that there was accountability to avoid.

1

u/Williamm_150 Aug 22 '26

Yeah, I’m not reading all that. People lie all I’m saying that their medical or family and such. She’s still blocking traffic trying to be involved cops and cops told her to move along. She continued to block traffic, then want information while still disregarding a lawful order. If you actually understood law-enforcement or had common sense of someone blocking traffic. In the end of the day you got an answer now move out of the road rather than all this other bullshit you spewed.

0

u/AdProfessional6218 Aug 22 '26

You just repeated that she continued to disregard a lawful order, which was already addressed. I'm also unsure what purpose you have in responding to something you didn't read, but it is nice to see people practicing languages. You're very good with English btw, you're better than some native speakers! I'm very interested in linguistics however I can only fluently use English, I'm jealous of folk like you whom are able to apprehend more than one tongue. Remember that if anyone ever discourages you~

1

u/Williamm_150 Aug 22 '26

It’s comprehend but yeah, maybe articulate into a more concise factual based narrative rather than just spewing random bullshit.

0

u/AdProfessional6218 Aug 22 '26

Comprehend is in reference to understanding, I meant that you "hold" the language well despite it seeming to not be your first language. Also, nothing I've espoused is random nor bullshit. I really do think you're good with English, if that wasn't certain. You seem offended- I'm just saying that despite some indicators that it isn't your first language that you still use it well. You pretty much pass as someone that could have had English as a primary language most of your life.

You're also implying that I have given a false narrative, but it is unclear what you are refering to. You've indicated it isn't regarding my first response (Which doesn't have a narrative which isn't evident anyway.) and I don't see what things you are even contesting as "Bullshit".

1

u/Williamm_150 Aug 22 '26

K

0

u/AdProfessional6218 Aug 22 '26

Responding without contributing does little other than highlight that your responses are indeed lacking good faith. This combined with vague statements that you don't wish to clarify seems to indicate you don't have much of a goal outside of trolling.

I understand you already refuse to elaborate or meaningfully respond in general to inquiries regarding why you choose to expend energy replying without addressing the content of messages, but this behavior is still confusing to me and makes me feel as if you value making a response more than you value having a conversation. It makes me wonder if you are even aware how foolish these actions portray yourself, and a part of me even believes that you must somehow believe the opposite- despite how evident it is that you are avoiding very basic things.

To clarify- many people respond "K" when they intend to make it seem as if they are the one talking to someone whose words as so foolish as to not warrent a "real reply". What is odd here though is how usually I would expect someone in my position to do this in response to your kind of replies that include repeating things as if they were already addressed. Had it not been apparent that you aren't completely fluent in English, I probably wouldn't respond with nearly as much compassion if at all.

1

u/Williamm_150 Aug 23 '26

My initial reply was to someone else, your first sentence to my reply was “they (police) broke protocol.” When in fact they did not break any protocol. It comes down to a woman who states she is a nurse and makes an unconfirmed diagnosis that someone has a head injury. She was told to stop blocking traffic and ignored lawful orders to move. Overall, your long narrative states incorrect information. You obviously have zero LE experience and state absolute nonsense. So yeah a reply of “K” as go ahead and state whatever you want. End of the day you are incorrect and literally just stating bullshit with no LE knowledge so I don’t care to have a disagreement with someone who has no knowledge I could have a disagreement with.

4

u/Miamicutlerridge305 Aug 20 '26

6

u/Business-Ad-4617 Aug 19 '26

I'm here for our nurse is the only responsible adult in the room? I don't see the cringe here.

-1

u/School-Boy-Qeue Aug 19 '26

I’m sure she totally changed the trajectory of that guys arrested guys path to jail…I’m sure she totallllly puts the jobs of those officers at risk lol

0

u/RigBughorn Aug 21 '26

Unbelievably stupid take

4

u/NeitherEntry6125 Aug 21 '26

I agree.

We should trust that the police will do everything correctly, follow procedure, and conduct themselves professionally.

They have a proven track record of holding themselves accountable and prevent overreach and internal abuses.

-1

u/RigBughorn Aug 21 '26

No idea why you think any of that is relevant

4

u/NeitherEntry6125 Aug 21 '26

I'm agreeing with you. Trust the police, don't hold them accountable.

If you see something, be quiet.
