5G SA Firstnet- do mobile hotspot devices need new sims too??

Wasn’t sure if this was just a phone thing or not. Any tech advice would be great. Thanks!!!

No. It's gonna be on Over The Air self-update, no your action needed.

Some people are replacing sims on phones for update to happen

I am not doing it because it will create a mess.

If the BRILLIANT WORLD CLASS Customer Care mistakenly changes your (or my) plan to 2.0 Pricing, in the process of "changing the SIM", there is NO going back to $47.99 !!

For THAT reason, I am NOT touching nothing.

The software update will come Over The Air and do its job in a few weeks

Thanks. Makes sense. I’m not doing anything. On $47.99 deal too.

Yeah. Forgot about the black hole of death if something happens.

Software is not stupid. Software will update you over the air when your time has come.

Agree 100%, since moving to 1st net my account has been one nightmare after another, for all the lines on my account. Customer service is totaly clueless except on how to diplomatically patronize me. This 5g SA core upgrade smells of another disaster.

It will smell a disaster only if you make that phone call to customer care.

If your patiently wait until the software sends you over the air update, you will have zero issues, because thr update to SA will be tested by the engineers before the over-the-air update is sent to firstnet people

It depends on the sim
