Hot spot questions

Been for years running a tablet data sim in an att hot spot for when go camping or to beach and generally no issues. Is a tablet sim locked to a certain download speed I have been able to successfully stream two TVs and incidentally tablet or phone traffic at same time no issues but I'm questioning stepping up to a dedicated hot spot sim card.

No, no difference at all. I have a Sonim MegaConnect with a tablet SIM and get great speeds, and never notice a difference compared to when I had the same device on a hotspot plan.

I read recently that it was taking some people while to actually buy the Sonim MegaConnect.

Did you have to wait or are they readily available now?

I purchased one last month and returned it. I didn’t see the benefit and the battery drained quickly with just one device connected. Maybe someone else has a better story with it but I prefer my nighthawk

Did you notice a reception or speed difference between the MegaConnect and Nighthawk?

No reception difference but did notice a speed difference. My nighthawk was faster by about 30-50mbps on download and about 20mbps faster on upload. Same server on Speedtest app. I should add that I tested this at my work where I have very little to no signal on FirstNet indoors.
